thanks for the rec!
I've never played around with phasing, but with a cursory glance Teferi's Isle would play out like this.
t1: comes in tapped
t2 (before untap): Phases out, therefore useless.
t3 (before untap): comes back and then untaps and may/may not ramp me one mana depending on my play for the turn.
t4 (before untap): phases out, would have been decent to cheat out kruphix with this t4, but not having full access to this land on the prior turns hurts.
etc.
In the first 4 turns I would have access to 2 mana one time? The longer the game went on, I would get more use out of a basic/tapland/karoo, even if the stars align. This deck prefers constant access to resources because timing is so crucial to most of my plays.
And walkers do really synergize with the playstyle of Kruphix, good luck and have fun with em, I've just had terrible luck with walkers that can't protect themselves in my playgroup. Kiora, the Crashing Wave and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage have devastating ults that take quite awhile to start up, people tend to let them be for a turn or so, netting you control over the board state or draw (maybe into spells that can protect them to ult if timed right)
I've had every green walker in here at some point for testing, and most of the jaces too. Just my 2 cents, gotta plan for (is this 4cmc/5cmc) worth the + or a single - if it won't live until my next turn. With these 2, its usually a yes. Flip nissa is cute enough and abusable mostly for the land fetch and no one really hates her out on flip unless they just wiped the board because she is fairly nonthreatening.

Ah Alright! Yeah! So Teferi's Isle is not that good then, I did not really know how the PHasing would work, and I figured a double blue mana would be better than say a regular island. But I see your point espeically if you have something like Seedborn Muse out. Although I do have a question does Kruphix really need ramp spells like Cultivate or Farseek? Cause my friend says that I do since im green, he said 'it never hurts to get a vorinclex out at turn 5' but the more I look a different Kruphix decks I rarely see any ramp spells, I typically see more 'rampy/deck thining' lands like Evolving Wilds or Misty Rainforest What do you think of my deck? Im not new to Green, But im new to blue (mostly) and I'm not sure the best path for Simic specifically...

In most green decks I can't recommend ramp splls high enough.
In this build I can play every spell in the deck with 5 mana sources by storing mana away on turns I'm playing defensively.
Works reliably and I'd rather have more care package than just ramp at this point, unless you are going infinite with the mana...there is such a thing as being flooded with mana with this mander

So i see you did add Paradoxical Outcome glad i could be of some help! Lol, anyways +1 for the deck and another +5 for helping me out with my deck!

anytime! :)
and yeah, in testing returning Sol Ring, Eternal Witness, Vendilion Clique, etc while drawing cards was just too juicy to pass up
March 20, 2017 7:51 a.m.
incidentally, Torrential Gearhulk / Snapcaster Mage into Paradoxical Outcome does so much work and draws me plenty

I'm surprised I didn't see Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix in your decklist. If you're drawing a lot of cards then she's perfect bc you can tap her and get one colorless for every card you drew during the turn. If you have untap effects targeting her then you'll be getting even more mana. And with Kruphix as your commander, you can feel safe knowing that any unused colorless mana can just be stored for later.
March 25, 2017 7:06 p.m.
Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix was tested for about 15 games when she came out. She either sat in hand, tapped for one mana on the field, or very rarely gave me 3+ mana. This deck values constant resource access so effects like Sakura-Tribe Elder, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, and Yavimaya Elder give me more traction.
Having to jump through the hoop of drawing excess cards and only gaining colorless mana from it isnt as handy as say selvala, heart of the wild or Somberwald Sage. Arguaby Thran Dynamo would be more reliable since there are no requirements.
At 4 cmc, she doesn't serve me as well as she could have, if she produced colored mana..I still think selvala, heart of the wild beat her out for me...but even she doesn't work as well as I'd like in thi variant.
Thanks for the rec! :)

Alright I suppose that's a pretty valid point. It may be off track a little bit I know she rocks in my Temur partner commander deck just bc of how many X cost red spells are available to take advantage of that colorless mana. Also Hydra creatures I use just eat that colorless mana up like candy

Bounty of the Luxa thanks for the goofy abusable card wizards, im definitely going to test this a bit, would be shocked if:
draw
3 mana ramp
draw
3 mana ramp
would ever be bad in here.
Also going to play around with Rhonas's monument (silly creature buffing potential) and Kefnet's monument (constant tempo abuse) though im not sure either will make it in, the potential etb abuse seems like a possible bear.

Kefnet the Mindful might be heavily tested for a myriad of reasons:
3 drop draw - gives me an early draw outlet if im utterly whiffing, Azure Mage effects are always welcome.
5/5 indestructible/flyer - Acts as an enchant until I need it to swing or block beefy flyers coming at me, flying tribal is a problem opponent with this deck.
Evasion- its a very evasive creature, not up to snuff with the theros gods, but certainly a solid 3 drop.
Land abuse- using floating mana and a blue source to draw a card and return Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to my hand after tapping and playing it for turn comes to mind...if I like the ability I can add a few more tricksy etb lands like Mosswort Bridge into the mix
This deck consistently has over 7+ cards anyway and the added option of making 5 card hands into 7 card hands with 4 mana investment makes even whiff scenarios stable and draw/stallable
This deck never seems to have enough mana sinks and though this creature doesn't necessarily work in a vacuum, even as essentially an enchantment with an azure mage+ ability for 3 mana isn't too shabby.

Considering a rather harsh engine for this build:
Paradox Engine + Cryptolith Rite hand vomit incarnate
add in Arcanis the Omnipotent to fuel as I do this and arguably play my entire deck if I draw into/start with enough creatures.
what do people think of this?

Just a couple questions!
Kruphix is my favorite looking god, and I really like the build here, but I play in a more moderate meta with some newer players. I don't mind playing good cards, but the praetors in particular are brutal for newer players to see in a game. Any ideas with what I could replace them with?
Do you believe Snapcaster worth his price tag? Seems like he has pretty limited use here.
Also, is Disallow the same as Voidslime just 1UU instead of GUU? It's a cheaper card monetarily and it provides the same role.
Thanks
April 24, 2017 11:26 p.m.
Disallow is strictly cheaper/easier cmc than Voidslime I just prefer the art on VS and already had it in deck with absolutely no issue playing it.
It's personal preference on Snapcaster Mage, being able to flash back any spell in my grave for 2 mana is rather nice, being able to copy/abuse his etb makes my care package more reliable (a single counterspell can shift the balance of the game, Cyclonic Rift game winning, and a second Arachnogenesis is rage inducing and hilarious), and he has been used to chump giant damage without trample very often.
Low cmc useful goodstuffs shine in this deck and he is always a welcome topdeck when I start digging deep past turn 5.
Hope that clears some stuff up :)

For the longest time I had Stormsurge Kraken, Kederekt Leviathan, and Thunderfoot Baloth in those slots.
Stonehoof Chieftain might be a good curve topper compromise until your friends start to catch up a tad
April 25, 2017 10:48 a.m.
gonna test the newly freed Protean Hulk. It surely has its applications in here, but the on death trigger isn't as reliable as I would like.
Currently testing over Arcanis the Omnipotent but not committing to the change yet. Arcanis draws SO MUCH HATE that unless I'm pararite comboing its just putting a big target on me, but when he works its golden.
April 26, 2017 10:02 a.m.
After consulting some of my playgroup:
Memnarch has been Sideboarded so that Protean Hulk can be MB full time for shenanigans. Things are gonna get funky :P
April 26, 2017 10:34 a.m.
Scavenging Ooze has been returned to MB over Primordial Hydra due to the explosive entrance of Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim and Lazav, Dimir Mastermind into my meta
May 4, 2017 11:54 a.m.
Arcanis the Omnipotent is in, for good. Handed me the game far too many times last weekend. Sakashima the Impostor paired quite efficaciously with him. People in my playgroup tend to scoop after I draw 20+ cards and have 50+ mana in one rotation around the table.
Protean Hulk is actually whiffing more than I'd like, I seem to regret playing him around half of the time. I can't have this with a "every card matters" mentality I hold towards this deck. For now I'll throw Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip back in for the repeatable land draw and the handy draw+. Her legendary token has been pairing exceptionally well with Rhonas the Indomitable as well.
Nissa, Steward of Elements makes me smile every single time I topdeck her, its just like...BAM...at least 10 to the face.
Rhonas the Indomitable has been an utter force in this deck. He rarely gets blocked and being able to dump 15+ mana into pumping another creature shifts the board state to my liking.
Kefnet the Mindful Is handy when im holding counter mana open early game or bluffing so. Will test further, it flows...but doesn't change the board state overmuch but it is quite reliable when I need it.
May 4, 2017 12:06 p.m.
Torpor Orb, Rest in Peace, Asceticism, and a litany of other problem children are becoming more and more common in my meta. I need non-etb reliable enchant/artifact removal.
Kefnet the Mindful and Slice in Twain out for some testing.
Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury has always been a maybe for this deck. Creating mana dorks, removing problem pieces, and a handy/easy ult while not really drawing too much attention makes for an extremely useful piece in this build.
Wickerbough Elder over Trygon Predator because I have no true reliable way to cheat the TP damage through if they have flyers and every time I copy WE ill have 2 instances of removal. Slice in Twain or Krosan Grip will replace it if I get repeatedly bitten by this or I don't like the feel.
May 15, 2017 7:46 a.m. Edited.
Might be time to finally grab a Mana Vault for this nonsense

Hey! So I have a question why dont you have Teferi's Isle? I'm actually in the process of building my own Kruphix deck, and Im actually changing it because of your deck! Im keeping all 8 of my walkers though cause I LOVE them but I found Teferi's Isle on gatherer and figured it would be good in concept, but idk if you actually played it. What are your thoughts?
