Maybeboard

For this take on Kykar, I went full force into the bird/wizard and spirit typing of creatures. The few non-bird creatures either generate birds, spirits or card advantage and can be turned into birds with arcane adaptation. The general concept is to make a small flying army to beat your opponents down, but I have a few spicy combos that are well suited to a casual meta.

Most of these require Kykar to be in play and may be limited to an amount of non-red mana you can produce.

Kykar, Wind's Fury + Twilight Drover + Anointed Procession can generate you 2 additional spirits per 1 white mana you have. if you happened to have set this up with Kindred Discovery, you can draw 4 cards per 1 white spent. (assuming you chose spirit or have made your spirits into birds with Arcane Adaptation or some similar effect.) If you have gone the route of making your spirits into birds, then Crookclaw Elder can turn each white spent into an additional 2 cards drawn by tapping your ghost-birds before sacrificing them to kykar.

Kykar, Wind's Fury+ Cloudstone Curio + Anointed Procession + (any 2 red one mana enchantments) nets you infinite spirits/red mana. Barrage of Expendables lets you eventually use your spirits to gun down your opponents with this little trick. Clout of the Dominus is a good filler enchantment for your slot while also providing protection for Kykar. Crown of Flames can eventually turn into an infinite damage Kykar (or any other bird/spirit or creature you may have) and Dragon Mantle has the bonus of drawing you a card when it ETBs so it has the added value of drawing up your library with this loop and opperates as a functional duplicate of crown of flame. (it's also important to note that Jeskai Ascendancy with this combination will make all of your creatures infinite power as well and untap them, but I didn't really build easy ways to abuse this.)

As it turns out, a lot of birds have this nifty mechanic that reads "Look at the top X cards of your library. Put them back in any order". For this reason, I'm toying around with some miracles. Most of these could easily be replaced with better functioning non-creatures for Kykar triggers.

My maybe board is some random additions if I wanted to focus the deck in other directions or fix for things in specific metas. My land base is pretty basic, so fitting in a Library of Leng would be good considering I haven't fit a reliquary tower in. Murmuring Mystic is a nifty card if I wanted to focus more on cranking out bird tokens. Blasphemous Act was an early inclusion because Swans of Bryn Argoll turns into a sweet board-wipe/draw 13 cards. (if you haven't done it before, try it.) Echo of Eons, Time Reversal and Mystic Retrieval are all part of a "well I could really use something in my graveyard" concept even if the previous two are more round about. And tutors are always nice even if I tend to play without them as my meta doesn't like to push things towards streamline gameplay. (draw half your library every game and no-one bats an eye, but cast a tutor and suddenly you're playing cEDH...) Sephara, Sky's Blade was a pick from EDHrec, and seems like a very good card. Really depends on how swingy you are going to be.

I dont tend to build a strong defensive barrier, but I did consider tossing in magus, and the typical "pay to attack me" enchantments. Again, it really depends on how swingy you plan on being and what your meta is like. If you're really afraid of your friendo throwing a few hundred plant tokens at you, they might be good inclusions.
