Theme

The theme I am aiming for this deck is in short, Discipline, Plunder and Replicate. The first time I encountered Sen Triplets, I had always wanted to build a deck around them. One of the things I enjoy about this game is being able to create a backstory for my decks whether it be my failed Kor-a-Lot deck or this deck, In this instance I basically used the Ancient Greek Moirai adding my own little flavor (I believe Sen Triplets was heavily based on the Moirai, kind of weird they did not make an appearance in some form in Theros but oh well..).

I have trudged through many other triplets decks and used ideas I had seen from others for this one but added my own (at least I think my own) unique spin by adding a quasi tribal theme of shapeshifters so that I could copy various permanents of my opponents or even possibly copy my own stuff if needed. Thieving or as I call it, plundering cards from my opponents is a lovely ability as I can use this as a force for good or ill, punishing those who might step out of line or rewarding others. I suppose there is also a minor control or discipline aspect, while I do not have as many lock down cards in this deck as others might, I can control the tide of the table by throwing up enchantments and artifacts that deter others from attacking me as well as utilizing cards from opponents hands that will slow the rest of the board down should it need to be.

Backstory

Who knows their destiny?

Those curious of what life has before them only need to listen and heed the lyrics of Lachesis' song. Her cacophonous song foretells the listener of what has yet to pass. Will the listener be destined to a life of prominence and riches or will the listener be destined to a life of perpetual beggary and vagabondage?

Finding oneself caught in a dire situation is indeed unfortunate but Clotho will have the final decision of what if any importance of the unfolding events will have on the inquisitive who seek her out. Her tranquil song supplies the inquisitive with the consequences of all things unfolding at present. Will unfolding events be momentous or forgotten and lost through the passage of time?

Should Lachesis and Clotho not pique the inquisitive, Atropos surely has the answers sought. Will the life of those brave or perhaps foolish to seek out Atropos' serene voice live a long and prosperous life or will their life be cut tragically short? Atropos holds these answers but beware, the answer sought may not be the answer given.

The Moirai hold the answers of what has been, what is and what will be. Walking the virtuous life may not lead to a life of fulfillment, likewise a life of brigandage may just lead to a life of realization and contentment. Destiny is the sand that shifts with each desert wind, where will you find yourself after encountering the Sen Triplets?

I am reluctant

There are a couple things I am a little reluctant on doing at this time, these being: - turning this into an out and out WUB artifact deck as I have one already using Sharuum as the commander. - turning this into a complete lockdown fest deck, while that can be fun, I have another deck for that should I wish to play that route.

Aims and Aspirations

The ultimate goal for this deck was to turn it into something fun and political. It may seem at first glance that I have not achieved this and to be honest I am not sure if I have as I have only had the opportunity to test this only a few times to date.

Closing

Any comments and suggestions are clearly welcome! I am always on the lookout for cards I may have overlooked and know that this deck could definitely be improved. I know there are cards I have in here that are not optimal but as with I assume most people especially those who build commander decks, they find pet cards or just become blind to blatant anti-performers because with 99 cards it is easy to be overwhelmed with what is laying in front of you.

a couple cards I am questioning in terms of their pertinence is: Leyline of the Void, Leyline of Sanctity, Spelltithe Enforcer, Temporal Adept and Deadeye Navigator. I know Deadeye is an amazing card and I put it in here to be able to interact with my shapeshifters but just not sure if I could replace it with a better card. Temporal Adept for much the same reason. The other three I have never used in a deck but figured for instance Spelltithe Enforcer could interact well with the taxing that Grand Arbiter Augustin IV does for my opponents. LotV is in here so that once I use an opponents card, it is lost to the exile zone but alas that was the only thinking I had for it.

Anyways, as stated, any thoughts or ideas on how to improve this deck would be greatly appreciated.
