Hey, CapitonMurfish, syncronym, and AndrewAckerman, thanks for the continued discussion.
Syncronym - on Tasigur, the Golden Fang, do you like your spells? Do you want to cast them again and again? Then Tasigur is yer man! H'es muy bueno in this deck. What I like about him is stated above. Big butt for protection, 4 dmg is good on an attack, and that ability is nice. Another utility of his? Opponents fear him, so he'll eat up a Hero's Downfall pretty quickly, which is cool, cuz that's one less Downfall for your Planeswalkers.
Andrew, Capiton - on Reality Shift, I've actually been keeping this card in the back of my mind for some time now. I've been giving it more thought after two weeks of dealing with (but beating) a dredge opponent that utilizes Rakshasa Deathdealer. Exile is powerful and as I don't have Utter End in this deck, exiling is a little harder to do. Like you both said, Sarkhan, Shaman and others would be great to remove in this way. I kind of maybe think 2 copies of them (maybe 3?) could be good for my sideboard for Game 2 in crazy-powered creature decks? I just feel like I don't want 2-3 copies of it in the main as dead cards against a Game 1 control opponent, y'know? I don't know...maybe Andrew can speak a little to having it in the main? I just feel that every answer I have in my current mainboard isn't relegated to JUST a single creature only. Bile, Aetherspouts, and Crux, even in a control match, can help against Elspeth tokens or what not...but a Reality Shift in those cases would only make a 1/1 token a 2/2 manifest, lol. But maybe sideboard?
Writing as much as I did, though, it's safe to say I've given the card thought. Certainly would be useful against the threats listed above as well as the recursion Whip decks as well.....As the deck goes on week after week, it's getting so hard to trade cards out of here as everything is being utilized plenty. Guess that's a good problem to have, right?

2 is good I think the priority is to be at 6-8 pieces of 2 drop one-for-ones weather they be Reality Shift, Bile Blight, Disdainful Stroke, or Negate.

If I'm looking at my sideboard, the only things looking good to take out right now for testing are one Bile Blight and maybe....Ugin...???

Hmmm.....maybe keep the single Bile Blight in the sideboard and perhaps it's Ugin and the single Downfall...

Last fnm I tested with one Bile Blight It was well worth to have at least one. I don't think I could go more than two. I found that with drowns going in second game. It required too much black to handle all the creatures in for the termur deck I faced at once.

I want to make sure I understand what you're saying, CapitonMurfish. Are you saying it was "well worth to have at least one" Bile Blight in the sideboard (along with the 2 in the main)?

no I ran one in the main. And had mana issues when siding drowns. Could never get 4 black going at once unless uborg came in. So two biles sounds like it would work, but if you side drowns in, you would most likely be planning on biles getting sided out for them.

Hmmm....odd. I've never ran into those issues. Remember, we also have double black we keep in due to Downfall as well. But yeah, never ran into that too much just yet, other than the Turn 2 Bile Blight inconsistency, which I haven't seemed to need to badly on Turn 2.
Perhaps there's a need to add in a second Urborg to increase likelihood of draw? If you ever draw two of them, you could always keep one in hand to use with a draw/pitch for Charm.

hey loco thanx for the +1 and yes are decks are very similar funny thing actually my friend has your deck proxied out and we were playtesting them against each other last night very even match-up i ended up winning 2-1, 0-2, 2-1. 3 out of four times i won i milled u with the wealth dictate combo the one other i krakened u to death. u got me with krackens twice and burger king twice and as always ashiok was absolutly brutal to both of us since we were revealing our top cards with courser it got to be a really intense chess match that i dont know if i enjoyed or not. but lets definatly keep in touch se where our decks go.

hey guys can you all do me a favor. Ive been building this really cheap budget deck that could possibly be a little competitive and want to still keep it around the 30-40$ range even with the sideboard included. I am about 5 cards away from finishing it and want some input on it. it is a mill deck and has 2 infinite mill combo's built into it i just need some sideboard suggestions for some decks i might not be ready for.

Hey there, aced420, thanks for popping by.
I used to run Dictate of Karametra in the initial iterations of this deck. Yes, it was nice Wealthing for 15-20, certainly. It worked well enough, but what I did come to find was that Dictate began helping out my opponent too much. There's a few commentors here that have been working on this deck just as much as I have, lol, and we all began to agree that Dictate would sometimes work against us...and really, what card do you want in your hand that works against you from time to time? Specific scenarios would arise where I would flash in a Dictate end of turn, Wealth next turn, and just have it countered. Even if I left mana up for my own counter, I've given my opponent enough mana to even throw out his own second counter to my counter. Another scenario was multiple Jeskai opponents with some card draw of their own, and the extra mana was becoming advantageous to them. Even burn decks with Crater's Claws loved when I dropped a Dictate on them. Sure, I would Wealth them like crazy, and then very next turn they burn me for 18 and I'm dead.
Slowly, I got to a point where Dictate was weened from the deck. At one time I ran one Dictate and one Kruphix, God of Horizons so I could store the mana for me only, and still have a Dictate when needed. But slowly, I just found better cards to run in the build, especially with the release of Fate Reforged, giving us access to things like Crux of Fate, Tasigur, the Golden Fang, Silumgar, the Drifting Death and even Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. These cards, which tip odds into my favor alone, easily negotiated their way into Dictate card slots that also benefited my opponents.
In regard to your comment about "chess match," I certainly know where you're coming from. There used to be two other individuals that ran their own Wealth decks. One ran a devotion version of it, which I thought was too fragile to my sweepers and I never considered it a match. The other, however, was more of a control mirror and we ran very similar decks. The mirror was always a chess game, for sure, each holding a counterspell in hand because we knew Wealth was the big win con and each had Planeswalkers the other would love to have, lol. When I played against him, I would side out my Dictates in favor of more counterspells, because I KNEW he would use them. And it benefited both of us.

I think I've entertained this in the distant past, but some thoughts have been reinvigorated on having a pair of Hornet Nest in the sideboard for aggro and green monsters.
Thoughts?

Hornets nest never seems to work the way you want it to. IF you are having those kinds of problems you might just be better off with Rakasha + Feed the Clan.

I like Aezuriel, he always has a way of coming in and saying "Hey, Loco....what the hell ya doin'," reminding me not to do dumb things in my restlessness of trying to trade cards in here to make things better, lol!

yeah i have gradually removed the dictates as well stil leavin in one for the shock value but it may come out i do like the Frontier Siege as a substitute how ever been exparementing though and we will see where it goes. in reguards to the Hornet Nest i do like the card not in this decklist though

Hello, been watching this for a while. I've wanted to build a wealth deck since I pulled one prerelease. (Prior to rotation I had built an Esper control with Ashiok/Nightveil/Hypnotic Siren etc and found I really had fun pummeling my opponents down with their own cards :D) Forgot about it until I pulled a foil wealth from the holiday box. Found your build and finally broke one of my own "rules". No net-decking! Lol been too busy with work to devote time to researching on my own. So I ordered what was missing (Kiora, Courser, Caryatids), cards I hadn't even considered since I didn't have copies.
Anyways, I have really enjoyed watching the comments and getting insight on cards to swap in. Even followed some of your changes I disagreed with (Bile Blight, both going then again returning). I do miss the mana from Wealthing big from dictate & Kruphix. Considering putting a Frontier siege in place.
I've kept the 1-of Silence the Believers though it's side boarded in favor of a main Monastery Siege. Not sure I like the Palace Siege so that's back in my maybe box. I've actually picked up Polymorphist's Jest because I feel it'd be hilarious to wipe the board with Silumgar, the Drifting Death then be life "oh yeah, end of my turn ". Lol.
I was right there with you guys on moving Ugin, the Spirit Dragon to the side board. When I checked in and saw you had done it as well it was reassuring :D still miss Liliana Vess. I was able to tutor up answers with her so many times. Including topping Wealth to follow up AEtherspouts for a win :D
My biggest problem with this deck had been seemingly uncontrollable. Having issues with mana pockets. No green source until turn 6 (or 1 g, no caryatids, drawing courses), stuck @ 3 lands, etc. As soon as it happens I'll power shuffle then shuffle several more times by hand. Then I find certain cards stacked together as if I was sorting. (downfalls together, digs, charms, etc).
So unfortunately I have not had the same winning streak as you, tho when it goes off it is certainly hard for my opponents to deal with. I have to playtest that Jest/Silumgar idea before I put it in tho. Not sure what I'd remove. Against the creature decks itd be great. Put a stop to heroic real quick, wipe out aggro if I survive long enough and just one more way to stop r/g devotion. The Blights were great against tokens & Monastery Mentor, but most the time targets get to big or are from the start.
Sticking with this deck until rotation tho. Too much fun when the cards come out right. I ordered custom emblems & tokens this week. The deck is half blinged out - figured i may as well do the same for the import tools too. At my FNM's the top guys are excellent players with competitive decks so I never expect to top. When I pull out my spellgrounds mat if my opponent compliments it I joke that if I'm going to lose, I'm going to lose in style :D Sorry for the long first post, I finally completed the comments tutorial lol. Gonna continue watching this hopefully we'll collectively find the sweet spot without having to sacrifice the Wealth aspect or key pieces. Glad you brought back the Spouts, that was one change I couldn't agree with.

Hey andrew
preciate the comment. I been playing the version above I had a idea much like how you did bug buddies, but went with locos decklist when I first saw it. The differences in why i went more wealth control is due to the more versatility in wincons. Any suggestions on figuring how to squeeze the reality shiifts into the list without taking out the wealths and aetherspouts . Also avoiding too much of the wincons coming out. Im drawing a blank other than taking the dissolves.and stroke. I don't normally play with strokes in main so that one.
