delve mechanic is just great and utilizing turn 3 tasigur or turn 4 dig can just set you up to just destroy and giving you access to run Murderous Cut is just nice. my local shop has given me serious credit for making my deck long before anyone on the circuit. I am still learning control so i make minor mistakes here n there but I'm getting there. now that my local has like 8 control players every week i am getting a lot better vs the control mirror and have dedicated my sideboard to control match ups with 13-14 cards hitting my deck from sideboard control game 2 n 3 are gonna be a lot easier. I've found that i am well set vs aggro and midrange only a few decks might give me trouble due to my sideboard like burn decks but with the addition of Duress next set i think a nice 4x will be nice in the burn matchup but we will see.
I do find sometimes playing way finder can be a pain but usually when i play him i need a land more than removal so it doesn't bother me if i hit say ugin crux and a downfall along with a land. which actually happened in a match with abzan aggro he said ouch but i had spouts in hand and my 5th mana bc of satyr so wasn't worried. sometimes i find keeping him in hand makes my opponents nervous bc they don't know whats there lol really nice i baited a thought seize holding 2 satyrs in hand just laughed when he did it.
It really comes down to a preference honestly i just don't care when i crux if he is on the board but if a caryatid is there I'm a little hesitant sometimes so i like sacking him if need be and he fuels delve himself at that point so still get some value.

Man go u.
For me he's one of my least favs for suitai. I suppose because I've ran into him so much when it comes to whips and control. Now I do like him for for saving me the trouble of considering siding thoughtsieze if the player falls to mana screw or play errors that dont come out right without certain cards sometimes. I usually guess all the things a player could pull out at me by the time he's thrown out his dual or tri-land, but wayfinder makes it so much simpler for me to get information. I once played a game where the player played wayfinder turn two and one of the cards he pitched were a Soulflayer. I immediately went into defense mode never tapping never letting the opponent play any dig spells, no Taigam's scheming, no dig through time, none of that green card that lets you pitch top cards from you deck. Cause i knew if he had the Soulflayer then I always knew what he was diging for to put for its delve. I never tapped out and held all my counters and sutai charms just for the moment A Beast mode soulflayer would come out. It would be slow if the guy didn't have it in opening hand, but if it was, It would be a long match of the gold fang pushing dissolves, digs, and aethers in and out of of the graveyard until i land a decent wincon.
Same kinda goes for Brood Tyrant whipping decks. So I guess if your ok allowing the player to get free information from your deck in order create a bigger prediction of how your going to kick the opponents butt, then cool. By all means pop out that bottle of scotch at the end of a good day.

Hey loco and guys,
We should through our ideas together and come up with a booming grixis deck as well for the new set to play along with suitai
March 17, 2015 11:17 p.m.
i hear ya on that sometimes it does give more info than i would like. But also most of them see hey a crux or aether hits the gy so he wouldn't have one in hand but usually i do lol. yeah it really is a preference thing i just like having him there mostly bc i don't mind blocking with him.
I do have a question for CapitonMurfish Loco-Motive and anyone else running this deck currently. Do you guys destroy W/U heroic? Ive been finding this is one of my easiest match ups.
March 17, 2015 11:21 p.m.
Give this a look and let me know what you guys think about it.

B/W does happen to be one of my easier match ups, but also one of my more tentative matches. I can never let anything live past a one turn. Sometimes I get away with courser and sylvins blocking but b/W is too dangerous with a five card hand, four land an any one creature in play. Before when we had the dictate build it was to strong.now the only thing that's slow me down in the deck is stubborn denial.

Hey loco, I haven't jumped into this set just simply cause I'm not a dragon guy in general, but I do See our decks having issues with the revamped whip decks using dragons out of this set as a fast condition just fyi. On your selection of what's going in I'm feeling Display of Dominance and Mirror Mockery. I believe them to be ridiculous as a utility against most any deck (especially the rivaling b/u and stupid stubborn denial knuckle blade combo that pisses our decks off every game). If U Choose Dammation Pact U Got To Make Sure It Wins You The game. VW to me is a good wincon for it cost unless u filter all the lands from the opponents deck which is a marginal risk. The pact works towards yourself for drawing utility but I think we both know that's not the intent we want this card in the deck. Thing is the risk is much closer to the chest if used on yourself and on the player. I guess I'm opening the debate for everyone here to give their opinion on it cause I'm kinda thinking about it to in main also, I just don't know if worst case scenario would I want this to be the top deck. Is it a good utility or a icing on the cake wincon or should even be here?

The command looks like a winner for control mind game tactics. I can see this creating guessing chess match game 2 against control or the mirror.

Just gonna say best night I've had with my deck went into top 8 was 2-1-1
Fought almost every matchup possible lol control whip burn and naya good stuff. Tied vs control lost to naya n won against burn and whip.
The games I won were pretty solid kept the board under control all match long. Whip had me a little nervous but with silumgar hexproofed just wrecked for me made a few mistakes that might of cost me the game but with the control I now have in my deck I didn't have too many problemz.
Gonna add 2 command to my build they are just great and are just amazing in any matchup except burn.
You should definitely run Haven of the Spirit Dragon and ugin this combo is amazing u only need 1 ugin and this will be great with the deck.

Got my FNM results up and it includes analysis of Silumgar's Command and what i think and feel about its inclusion in my deck list i think you might be curious about last night's results

BTW i got to looking and if you want to see what i had a hard time with in the finals at my fnm here is the naya list that is really close just a few different creatures but here Naya midrange top 8 at FNM

Gonna sit back for a bit a see what I can do at this new meta now that Im back home. I went 1-3 getting burned out and losing to a top deck land against b/w heroic.

I hate to be a party pooper, but this deck is on the back seat for me until the format resettles. I've gotten my other deck to an amazing state for the time being and I'm not sure I will ever finish this one completely. I am always around for discussion but I truly feel this one just needs the format to define itself.
That said, I think this deck could sincerely benefit from Dragonlord Silumgar. I know the card is getting bashed by many people right now, but make no mistake about the potential of the card. Sower of Temptation was similarly maligned in its format and later became on of the defining creatures of that format. He may cost a little more, but you are trading 2 mana for a larger butt and death touch, so he is in some respect a better Sower. He is am immediate 2 for 0, probably taking your opponents best threat. And should he go down, he is probably taking something with him. I would MD at least 1 of him, maybe 2. as for the rest:
Thoughtseize is already iffy in this deck except at the highest ELOs. Duress is even more-so. If you have a control v control mirror going on, maybe, but you want a discard engine like Liliana over spot discard in most cases.
Death Wind is just an expensive way to do what you are already doing. I have a hard time seeing corner cases where it would be valued over another kill spell.
Damnable Pact is just no. I know what it is trying to be and it is just not worth it. It needs to be instant to really have a chance. This card is meant for some form of black aggro that dumps its hand and is willing to pay in life to reload its hand, or go for a quirky burn for x for the win.
Mirror Mockery -- neat design, but not all that viable outside some strange combo deck I haven't seen yet.
Sidisi, Undead Vizier This guy could have a place, replacing Tasigur. Hes a good blocker that you can ramp to, and the tutor is really good for turning games. I envision this guy seeing play as a way to stabilize games and set up Dragonlord Silumgar on the following turn.
March 29, 2015 4:55 a.m.
Aezuriel I agree with you on Death Wind and Mirror Mockery
Dragonlord Silumgar i don't like him all that much bc right now almost every deck out there runs creature hate and they easily get him back. i feel he wouldn't be the type of aggression the deck needs.
as for Thoughtseize i don't use the card any way i just don't like losing 2 life for a chance at hitting something worth the life loss.
Duress however i think is a great card for my build only bc i run plenty of creature hate that stopping walkers or enchantments from hitting the field is more of what i need discarded anyway.
Liliana Vess i am currently thinking of bringing in now instead of having 4 Duress just running 3 and 1 lilana.
Damnable Pact i am still on the ropes with this card. its works great in control match ups but bad vs most other decks.

It's funny i never thought my deck would need it but after a few of the new meta changes and with all these new decks coming out and such a wide variety of control we need in this new coming meta. I believe that Perilous Vault may be an answer you might consider running. I have decided to run it in my list so i can't handle 3 current decks that can get out of control.
- W/G devo or any other deck that runs Mastery of the Unseen
- naya aggro or any of the decks that run fast cards that bring more with it
- constellation decks or whip decks.
these are the archetypes that can just run wild if left unchecked and will need a answer that isn't creature hate and seeing all u have is charms to do that something that wipes out multiple walkers and creature base along with enchantments. This may be an answer you might like going into the new set with a lot of unexpected changes that may happen.

hate to say it also, but I'm having the same feelings. This deck is to a crossroads where it may have to either take a back seat for this meta, or switch to a more aggressive aggro approach much like a abzan typed deck where one is gaining life and putting more immediate threats in play. In alot of my match ups friday, most players I played used their ridculously cheap over powered creatures to keep the walkers at bay while raining down on me with more creature hate or burn. At some point in my games the walkers were ignored, putting me directly in the path of creatures I couldn't catch slam dunking my face and either getting protected or dash out before I could even get close to a bile.
I think will sit this deck on the bench till a set comes out that can help push the control and aggro through better.
March 30, 2015 3:47 a.m.
I have to disagree on switching to aggro or giving up the deck. You guys think the meta is changing but it's really not just being more refined in exactly what you will come up against. I believe in my deck and I haven't had too many problems with the release of dtk.I feel heavy removal is a key to the success last Friday I took 7th in 4 round standings only having 1 loss the whole night. Losing to my last match set me from taking 2nd and helped me for FNM's to come by showing my I'm weak against a deck type that can get several Permanents onto the field in a couple of turns after I have wiped it twice already. These are the decks that will cause the most problems imo. Given that one of my friends suggested In Garruk's Wake but I want to wipe everything so I went with Perilous Vault
March 31, 2015 2 p.m.
Anticipate this card has replaced Satyr Wayfinder in my deck for a little while so i can see how it runs in the deck. too many times satyr isn't what i need but he does fuel my delve. i was just thinking what i use satyr for is land per turn anyway so why not run Anticipate in its place it still does what i need and none of the cards go to the gy and late game it can find me the answer i need at the time i need it.
I do like some of the changes Loco-Motive has done to this deck recently i look forward to seeing how it does this week.

Hey guys I been working on a variant of b/R Brad Nelson has come out with. I don't like his decisions to the potential of the deck but like the idea.So I changed it up and wanted to get all your thoughts on it and ideas on what would make it even more devastating. I also have considered slicing blue for grixis. I'm getting views but no comments from the populous of tappedout community so I'll stick it to this vwealth community I've grown accustomed to. Check me out and tell what you think. I plan on testing in FNM this week.

syncronym, I would love to tell you how this does this week but, shocker!, I'm gonna run another deck for JUST this week. My local FNM has gotten accustomed to my Wealth deck, so I just wanna throw a wrench in their expectations this week.
LOL...running a silly mono-black-control this Friday, lol.

Hi Loco, I played a variant of this deck at a local standard tournament yesterday.
I say variant because I use Ugin instead of Garruck, and some other small changes.
I went 2-1 (only 8 people on tournament)
First Game Went againts a sultai control beated him 2-0 (Ashiok all the way)
Second game lost due to mana screw to a Mono Green Devotion.(Mana Scre both Games)
Third Game won againts an Abzan Midrange 2-1
I like this deck. gonna keep seeing your updates also will try to spice it up.
regards
