Maybeboard

A little "before you read" for this, I play a lot of cEDH and have since before the pandemic, when EDH really really took off. The entire time I've always just played "the good deck" or copy and pasted someone else's already optimized deck. Of course like any good deck builder I would make tweaks to make it more of my own but this is the first deck I've built truly from the ground up. This deck is my idea, and the win con is a couple of combos I thought of on my own and I'm very proud of it. I'm going to post this deck list in a couple of forums and deck sites just to get opinions and see if anyone can point out something I missed. If you read it and comment, truly, I say thank you for taking the time to look this over and share your thoughts.

This is a stax deck with a combo piece in the command zone. Stall until you have Yannik, Scavenging Sentinel or Lagrella, the Magpie and a Karmic Guide plus Altar of Dementia, Yannik or Lagrella etb exile Karmic Guide under one of them, sac the exiler to altar, karmic etb get the exiler back, mill out all your opponents!

Any blink creature plus Yannik/Lagrella = infinite power/toughness on your board. Example: Fiend Hunter to exile Lagrella, the Magpie, Cast Yannik, Scavenging Sentinel to exile Fiend Hunter, when Lagrella enters use her to exile Yannik. This gives all your other creatures +3/+3 and then you have a Lagrella trigger to take the Fiend Hunter. Do this as much as you'd like then take a different creature on board to stop the loop.

Freed from the Real + Faeburrow Elder/Bloom Tender is infinite mana so you can Altar of Dementia without needing another creature. (Just cast and sac Lagrella, the Magpie / Altar of Dementia.

The deck may want Tribute Mage to be a bit more consistent. Birthing Pod has plenty of advantage lines, pod your Yannik, Scavenging Sentinel into a Karmic Guide and boom, infinite ETBs (kind of). This is a line I'm a fan of, but can't think of any good payoff for infinite ETBs besides from maybe Glimpse of Nature into Thassa's Oracle but that seems tricky to pull off.

I put this "primer" together rather quickly, so I hope anyone who took the time to read this can clearly follow my train of thought. Any help or suggestions for ways to make the combo a bit more optimized would be appreciated. I've never built a stax deck, so I'm not sure how to balance hate cards plus value ways to win. And yes, the mana base could easily be more optimized, but I don't have any of the high end mana lands and I play in a lot of no proxy scenarios.

I really really think Bant is a color combo that gets ignored in cEDH and with the combo I'm trying to pull off having a commander that doubles as a combo piece or a situational hate piece, the deck has legs. At least in the blue farm Urza polymorph meta I have to play in.
