There's a awesome land called Sea Gate Wreckage from the latest set; you could easily use it for more draw triggers for Life from the Loam and you have plenty colorless mana sources with Rishadan Port and Wasteland to trigger its ability.

matbyrne, the problem I have with running Sea Gate Wreckage is that vary rarely will I ever have no cards in hand. Generally, the only time I have 0 cards in hand is either when I happen to assemble an amazing starting hand and get a turn 2 Marit Lage, or whenever I have a Manabond on the field, and at that point, I don't think Sea Gate Wreckage is the card id want to use in order to draw a card to trigger the dredge from Life from the Loam. The mana cost of for the activated ability is too high. if I were to use a card like Sea Gate Wreckage, it would probably be Horizon Canopy, which I used to run as a 1 of in the main board. Thanks for the suggestion though.

incarceratedGeneticist, the issue with Standstill in this deck is that I want to be casting spells every turn. I want to be able to cast Life from the Loam every turn. So if anybody actually loses value from it it would be me. I also don't want to splash blue as there isn't really enough value outside of Intuition. Thanks for the suggestion though.

And what about land destruction? How quickly can this deck "get on a horse" and what about that cumulative upkeep of Glacial Chasm? If you luckily play it with 20 life, you can live for up to 10 turns. IS there any life gain possibility? For example lifelink for that 20/20 avatar? I'd like to read your suggestins.

Thanks

PS: Really amazing deck thou :D

Majkl22, the deck doesn't necessarily focus on land destruction, although that is an aspect of the play style. The deck mostly focuses on creature control right off the bat, and it is very effective at it. As for glacial chasm, sometimes you'll pay the cumulative upkeep for glacial chasm, but most of the time you wont pay for it and sacrifice it, and as long as you have an exploration in play, you can in a sense go infinite and keep on returning it with life from the loam. Marit Lage is purely a win condition, although I have won by just Punishing Fireing my opponent to death twenty times. I hope that I answered your questions, and if you have any more, please let me know.

MADMatt7777 Well thank you, but I meant what if your opponent plays Land destruction or Blood Moon? I know there is a destroy in side, but the main question was, How quickly can this deck take a lead if your opponent plays for example Armageddon? Thanks again for your replay and sorry for 2 same articles (connection problems)

Crucible of Worlds seems like a good add, maybe Burgeoning too? Those two in conjunction are nuts, btw.

Majkl22, oh sorry I misunderstood the question. As far as land destruction is concerned, because this is a competitive legacy deck, I've never seen anybody run any form of land destruction outside of Wasteland or Ghost Quarter. its just not common to do massive land destruction spells in competitive legacy. However to answer your question, because it runs a heavy amount of lands as well as cards like Exploration and Mox Diamond, I would assume that it would be able to recover relatively quickly. As for Blood Moon, it does run Krosan Grip in the sideboard as well as 1 basic Forest mainboard, so Side accordingly in a situation where I feel that blood moon might be brought in against me.

aeonstoremyliver, Both of those seem like solid additions to the deck. my only concern is that they basically need to be in my starting hand in order else they will most likely be dredged away. The deck could be modified in order to be able to return artifacts from the graveyard, but I feel that this takes away from the overall consistency of the deck being. Similarly, Crucible of Worlds and Burgeoning dont actually have any interaction together since Burgeoning "from your hand." Its a cool concept though.

I was searching for some cards and I found Smoke and Meekstone..Do they work efficiently in this deck, whats your opinion?thx again :D :-)

Majkl22, they both have similar abilities that this deck likes to utilize, however, the issue is that they have zero interaction with the graveyard and cannot be returned to the hand if dredged away with Life from the Loam. The deck could be modified to be able to use Meekstone, but at the cost of constancy.
