Boi10217 Thanks! I'm still feeling this deck out, so I can't tell you with 100% certainty if changes are needed yet! Please check back in a the next month or so to see if anything changed!

Boi10217 I'm just following up with you as I've had a month to play this deck. The deck performs very well. I've changed 6 cards to make the deck fast and more consistent, but still in the lands matter theme. Please feel free to check it out!

Have you considered unearth? Can get a lot of your pieces out of the grave? You already have a good bit of recursion, but it seems good

That's not a bad suggestion. I'll think it over, ImNotLukeLane.

Sweet deck upvote. I have a question. Can this deck run without foodchain and several mana rocks to fit 1v1 dual edh and still be extremely effective. Heres the entire banlist. http://www.duelcommander.com/banlist/ . I'm asking because i'd like to build this deck for 1v1 but i'm unsure if its still as effective without those pieces.

Also if I still could be as good what would you consider to be some good alternatives.

sam171z Thanks for the upvote!
The deck won't really work because Food Chain is banned in Duel Commander, and this deck is categorized as a Korvold Food Chain deck, even though there are other ways to win.
You can still pull off many of the combos using Dockside Extortionist + Temur Sabertooth or Cloudstone Curio + Dockside Extortionist + a creature card, but those don't win on the spot unless your opponent has at least 5 enchantments/artifacts. Seeing as many of the mana rocks are banned, I don't know how often that happens in Duel Commander.
As Gaea's Cradle is banned, the Titania, Protector of Argoth win condition is also more difficult to pull off.
Without knowing more of the Duel Commander meta, I'd say that none of the The Korvold Food Chain decks, including this Lands-matter version, will work in Duel Commander.

I see, then what are your thoughts on Merieke Ri Berit , Tuvasa the Sunlit or really anything thats bad in multplayer like voltron, mill, copy, or steal decks. Do you think a deck built around one of those would be quite effective. And lets give it the pretense of a blind meta. Duel edh of course.

sam171z Funny you should ask that question. I actually have a Merieke Ri Berit deck that I cherish (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/merciless-merieke-primer/) and a Sram, Senior Edificer (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/srams-armiger/) deck as well. Neither are 100% tuned, but they're close.
Will they work on Duel Commander? Maybe. Probably not my Sram deck, but Merieke might.
I don't play that format, so I am also not the best person to ask.

The only thing thats really different is that your agaisnt one person and you don't have access to the best ramps or certain win-cons like hulk. There's a deck i want to build and modify, but i'm not sure if i'm going about it the right way. Would you be able to give your thoughts. https://archidekt.com/decks/341354#Death_to_us_all . Here's a list of the banned cards in DC, http://www.duelcommander.com/banlist/

sam171z Hey, never played Meren before, so I can't really comment. A quick google search led me to this post which is a Duel Commander version with 9 Likes of Meren that's been updated in the last year: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/meren-of-clan-value-duel-banlist/

Loving this deck, but is there a budget alternative for Wrenn and Six? That pricetag just doesn't justify him for me.

Hey, ThatGrimGuy! Thanks for the +1 and question. Wrenn and Six is used for recurring a land and for pinging dorks, but mainly the former. Another Crucible of Worlds-type effect is what would be ideal.
Unfortunately, I don't know of another card like except for Shaman's Trance, which I don't think cuts it. Other Korvold lists run Boreal Druid, which isn't the same thing, but it does net you an extra after summoning sickness goes away.
Plunge into Darkness is another Korvold Krew Discord favorite, so that might be something worth looking into in your list.
I hope that helps!

Thanks for the response SeniorEdificer! Instead of adding another Crucible of Worlds effect, would adding another tutor in the form of Gamble or Grim Tutor be acceptable? (I'm mostly playing on mtgo, so I choose cards based on tix cost).

oh sure, either works! Whatever you have at your disposal. If both, then try with Grim first and see how it pans out!

Wouldn't Command Beacon be really good in this deck?
February 19, 2020 6:17 p.m.
SeniorEdificer says... #18
It was in there ThatGrimGuy, but you only ever use it when Korvold is not on the battlefield, so you don't benefit from the trigger. Feel free to add it back in in your list!

I think you misread these: «Nature's Lore and Three Visits: While these tutors get you cards onto the field, you don't have enough basic (!?) forests to tutor for with all the fetchlands that are already in the deck that do the same thing for you at 0 mana.» They fetch any forest, including OG dual lands and shocks. Also don't compare fetchlands to ramp cards, it's not a good point of comparison.

BarbeChenue: I have 6 forest-subtype cards, including the two basics. I have 10 fetchlands and 3 ways to recur them from the battlefield. Nature’s Lore and Three Visits are overly redundant at that point based on how this deck is supposed to function.
Thank your or your thoughts.

Any specific reason you don't run City of Solitude? Most of my pods have blue in them. If you would give a suggestion based on your list, what would you replace for City of Solitude?
Thank you :)

kwje123: Thanks for the message!
The answer is simple. It shuts off 25% of my deck as I have 66 non land cards, 16 of which are instants. I have no idea what your deck has, but I am a fan of the four counterspells I run to hate on blue: Burnout, Guttural Response, Red Elemental Blast. Pyroblast

This looks super cool! I also run korvold, though it's more based around creature sacrifice, with a persist creature combo finisher. This build looks much more effective. How has it been playing? Excellent write up and primer, lots of cool loops in the deck.
