Sorcery (1)

I thought it would be fun to make use of some landfall cards I drafted and since I can't find an Exploration I figured Mina and Denn, Wildborn would be fun. I was correct!

The lands are pretty straight forward. The 3 lands that rock with your commander's 2nd ability are Mosswort Bridge, Temple of Abandon, and Looming Spires for repeated ETB goodness. Nephalia Academy is going to become an EDH staple in my opinion so you should get one for every EDH deck you build. There's no downsides to running it even if you don't need the ability but if you do it can save that bomb you were planning for next turn.

Non-creature spells are just some good old red/green fun. Lots of landfall help and decent token generation. Note the excellent combos that can happen between Perilous Forays + Omnath, Locus of Rage and Warstorm Surge.

Druidic Satchel has become a favorite of mine as there really aren't any downsides to it. I usually wait to activate it on my opponents turn for the possibility of generating a token blocker (or more depending on your landfall board state) during combat. If not needed then I do it on thier end step.

I also want to mention that getting Alter of the brood out early can really tilt the game, especially if you start to produce lots of tokens. Also, Broodhatch Nantuko is a great card. Morphing it and waiting patiently can get you a ton of chump blockers and trigger the altar many times. .

Creature cards are pretty straight forward. Skarrg Guildmage 1st ability can win you games if everything is on the right place. It hasn't happened yet, but I also look forward to targeting Mirrorwing Dragon with Temur Battle Rage or Primal Bellow after I swing out with a bunch of creatures and blockers have been declared. I'm also looking forward to targeting it with Verdant Confluence and thusly giving each creature I control 6 +1+1 counters. Sin Prodder is pretty fun. You may lose a few good spells and lower cost cards but they'll take damage unless it's a land and it really irritates the opponent. It has menace and that also irritates the opponent. My advice if you run it is to have fun with it and swing with it until they take it out. It takes a nice chunk out of their life for such a low mana cost. Spearbreaker Behemoth is great for obvious reasons. Note that you can target any creature with power 5 or greater so it can also be a bargaining tool for in game politics.

I'm not really happy with Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh   in this deck and am hoping to replace it with Arlinn Kord  .

Finally, I will share a win I had this past EDH night at my LGS that is probably a once in a lifetime win. An opponent cast Traumatize on me early on in the game. I had to mill 39 cards. I luckily had Praetor's Counsel in hand so next turn I had a huge hand and Borborygmos Enraged was in there along with about 15 lands! I was able to win the game with his 2nd ability. Pretty sweet stuff.

The deck has some rough edges but it's fun. Any help or suggestions is/are welcome and if you try it out let me know how it worked for you. Thanks.
