Maybeboard


A very finely tunned up version of the Lord windgrace deck. I have played hundreds of games with this deck over the two years and I still upgrade and change this deck list with every new set release. This deck is very consistent and synergistic build around generating tons of value with Windgrace and winning through multiple different game states.

this deck is built to control the battlefield through cards like Barbarian Ring, Wrenn and six, and Glacial Chasm. If need be insert Constant Mists if your play group uses a more combat heavy meta. Against control opponants Boseiju allows you to keep your spells from being countered, Rythm of the wild is a great addition if you prefer that card.

This Deck Primary engines to assemble are Cabal/Urborg, Dryad/Valukut, Gitrog/Lich/Loam/Dakmor. I Left infinite combos out of my deck on purpose because I know a lot of play groups do not like those but these are the three main card engines I put in the deck to generate tons of value. To close out the game generally results in Value Genesis wave, Craterhoof, Torment, Ob Nixilis, and Scapeshift.

This deck's mana base doesn't reflect the amount of Green symbols throughout the deck. this is is because its extremely important to play Windgrace turn 3 or 4 and begin grinding out value. I find with the amount of Mana fixing this issue is circumvented along with not having mana cost that are to difficult to cast (Borborygmos aside)

One thing my deck really lacks is board wipes, if you prefer running more, Toxic Deluge, fire Covenant, Pernicous Deed, and Decree of Pain I find are the best alternatives. but find personally in my own meta that board wiping when you tend to have a favorable board state generally isnt good and when you can rebuild quickly with windgrace and Memorial to Folly targeted removal tends to be a better alternative.

All in All this is a slower grindy deck thats great and a lot of fun in an optimized enviroment. I would rate this deck around a 7/10 almost an 8 due its versatility and consistancy instead of combo threat. this decks biggest strengths is board presence, Ramp, Card Draw, and just always being a threat on the table. Its weakest to aggro decks that win faster then Windgrace or combo decks that dont interact with the table.
