You cant use Hellkite charger the wasy you think you can, you must pay the mana for the extra combat as it attacks, not after the phase, so you wont receive any mana to pay its ability.

This deck looks stupid...ly fun. I want it.

Braids of Fire allows you to cast big burn on upkeep, which gives you a ton more mana later... maybe mainboard it? It depends on how many instants you want to run. I agree with a Doubling Cube, it's almost as degenerate here as in an Omnath deck. Also, Commune with Lava is debatably the greatest draw spell in EDH for red. Two cards in maybeboard absolutely need to be mainboard, the Myojin of Infinite Rage and the Strionic Resonator. Some cards to cut, in my optinion, include Sizzle and Tunneling Geopede.

Thanks everyone! I have sorted through the comments and added some good ones. It was really hard to determine what to remove from the list already so some goodies will be lost but many have been added.

Have you considered the red hideaway land? Youd be able to get it online pretty easy.

Also i would consider a steel hellkite. Its powerful in mono red being able to get rid of pesky enchantments or other permanents that red cant deal with

Our commander is a 3 dollar card... but his foil is over $15 most places :(

I will rarely if ever pay more than twice what a card is normally for a foil so this is bothersome. He's not being run in anything other than commander that I have seen... I wonder if its just because the foil looks great on "eternal" creatures.

That being said if anyone has one and would like to trade, well thats a different story!

TheHurrDurrMan Shroud would make equipment un-equipable. But if an equipment is already on a creature, then you equip Lightning Greaves to it, the first equipment won't pop off. And if the reverse is the case, the simple solution is to equip Greaves to another creature for a second, equip the sword, then equip greaves again. That's if you both have another creature and are ok with your important creature being without shroud for sorcery speed equips.
