Another idea: Telemin Performance . I think it's better than Soul Ransom because it mills while mind controlls something.

Soul Ransom is in the maybe board not the main deck and it would be more used as a short term stall but mainly used bc of the card advantage it would create, they lose 2 cards i gain 2 cards for four decent effect but prob not going to make it into the main board. considering most of my legends have evasion i dont really need card:Shizo, Death's Storehouse to give them more evasion so i dont feel like dropping the $$ for it same deal with the other land. good ideas thou! thanks

Np, sorry that my imput isn't that helpful and I didnt see that was the maybeboard, my bad. Have you considered Shelldock Isle ? If you manage to mill someone down to 20 consistently It can be good.

Oh, and maybe it costs 3 more than card:Life's Finale but I think that Plague Wind can win you games on the spot (That's is, of course, if you don't have a interaction to have Lazav live through Life's Finale and copy some of the guys dumped in the graveyard by it. I would be gross to copy the best creature in your opponent's deck while sending it to the graveyard).

will do playtesting with Plague Wind , card:Life's Finale was more just in there as insurance in case someone got crazy with tokens or something. and in an ideal game lazav would become a copy of an enemy's ulamog so he'd be indestructible XD

If you worry about tokens, then Decree of Pain is the best solution, its cycling is instant speed, uncounterable and obliterates tokens while letting Lazav live (And even nets you a card) and the Wrath mode gives you a good deal of CA.

Jace memory adept is a great mill card especially his 0 ability which makes target player mill 10
January 31, 2013 1:57 a.m.
yeah I originally didn't put him in here because I didn't want two jaces in one deck, but looking at card:Akroma's Memorial again I realize it doesn't give indestructibly. so -1 card:Akroma's Memorial +1 Jace, Memory Adept

He is in the real life deck that i currently have which is different from this version due to budget restrains. As it is I prefer parts of this version and the real life version which i need to narrow down so i can "combine" them and update this version appropriately

You may like Coastal Piracy and Larceny with some sort of cipher cards from gatecrash, evasive specters and so on. Check my Lazav's shadow watch, maybe you'll find something interesting ideas.

Coastal Piracy and Larceny have already been in and been replaced in this deck, also most cipher cards are overpriced for there use.

Rogue's Passage is a nice utility land.
Trailblazer's Boots is usually a second Whispersilk Cloak.
Whispering Madness can be card draw for you, and forcing opponents to discard means triggers for Lazav.
Mesmeric Orb is arguably the best mill in the game.
Duskmantle Guildmage goes infinite with Mindcrank, or causes 30-40 damage through a Traumatize
Dimir Signet is quality ramp in Dimir colors. Getting SIgnet out T1-2 can mean casting Lazav T3.
Tainted Isle is a decent dual
Clever Impersonatorover Clone
Nemesis of Reason is sweet for Lazav also. Solid ground blocker. One of my favorite victories involved kicking Rite of Replication on Nemesis of Reason and milling 60 the next turn.
I'd look into Counterspell as a cheaper alternative to Spell Crumple if you don't want to use the Tunnel Vision Combo
Animate Dead over Oversold Cemetery because you can steal from others, and put it directly int play.

Yeah, the deck is really tight, I wouldn't know what to cut too. Also, I saw that you have a handful of legendary creatures so card:Shizo, Death's Storehouse can replace a basic swamp a provides a decent effect. Same Thing with card:Minamo, School at Water's Edge, but I think you don't use it as effectively as Hanna or other blue generals.
