Our ever-changing Commander allows us to bypass some of the worst EtB effects of cards like Eater of Days or Phage the Untouchable , capitalising on their benefits, without the drawbacks. The deck needs a decent amount of mana to ensure that Lazav, the Multifarious can always adapt to threats by changing into creatures with hexproof, indestructible or with bounce-effects. When you're attacking, Lazav can be made unblockable and hexproof with cards such as Invisible Stalker and then changed into something terrifying once the attack is allowed to pass.

OTKO's can come from either Phage the Untouchable or infect kills by Tainted Strike or Vector Asp plus a final activation to something with greater than 10 power.
