@buckeyetron - I initially had Naban, Dean of Iteration in my deck, but eventually I decided against him. I did this mainly because of the fact that I had very few etb effects, and if I did take your suggestion, the deck would change drastically. I completely understand it, but Naban isn't a powerful enough turn 2 play for me to utilize him easily when finishing off the opponent. However, I will consider him again.
@LunaMirage - Blink of an Eye is powerful, and I might use it in the deck. However, the kicker draw aspect does very little for me, because of the fact that I'll only be able to play it on turn 4 or later if I'm waiting to be able to use it.
@JEltax - Riddleform is a nice turn 2 play, but in this deck I'm trying to put down a Spellweaver Eternal over it. However, I might play it over Kari Zev, Skyship Raider because I have found that she can't work as well as I wanted her to during the subsequent turns after I've played her.
@Neth - Opt allows me to draw a burn spell when I need one to finish off the opponent, and my creatures will rarely get extremely large on an opponent's turn; therefore, although Warlord’s Fury is good, its primary effect, giving my creatures first strike, doesn't really help me.

Blink of an Eye or Riddleform? Each of them is viable for the deck, and I would like your input. Please give a reason why.

If you take blink of an eye, go with Perilous Voyage instead, but I like Riddleform more because it's more aggressive. Put Perilous Voyage in your Sideboard, because often you won't really need it. You have your burn spells against creatures, so you need Perilous Voyage only against cards like Seal Away or God-Pharaoh's Gift .

Hmm... I can't mark Perilous Voyage and God-Pharaoh's Gift

@JEltax: Thanks, I was wondering about Blink of an Eye. Perilous Voyage is better and allows me to counter the situations you describe.

I'm still on the fence with whether or not I want to construct Wizards - is Kari effective? I swear when I play her she's... kinda useless :( I've been favoring Warkite Marauder since I can shock away anything when she attacks but I'm on the fence. Guess I just need to construct and play. Anyways, still the best looking Wizards build I've seen posted.

I've been considering taking out Kari because of the fact that she hasn't been very useful. I'm demoting her to white because she's not a wizard, and I would very much appreciate suggestions for replacements.

Hey @Plahbie!
I have tried this list and other similar lists and I've found it's not very reliable when you don't hapen to win in turn 4.
I have trimmed down the mana to 20, and replacing 2 Mountains and 2 Islands for 4 Spirebluff Canal for better color spread.
And changed anoter island and a mountain for 2 Chandra, Torch of Defiance.
Yet it gives more options to the late game, this deck suffers with creature removal, and removal is very cheap on Black and Red, with Lightnings and Fatal Pushes.
I did some research and will maybe try ETBs with Ghitu Journeymage and Naban, Dean of Iteration or Naru Meha, Master Wizard for the extra wizard boost.

So I don't see this posted yet, but the Professor made a version using Kari Zev's Expertise and it seems like a red text card in this deck. It will usually hit two prowess triggers, remove a potential blocker, and give you another body to swing with.

Looking back at this one, wonder if "The Flame of Keld" would compliment the deck nicely... keep in your hand until you've played everything (should be easy since you're throwing out all your creatures and instants/sorcs ASAP). Don't have to discard, you get three cards on your next turn which should equip you to do some epic damage. I feel like this is the end-game kick it's missing.

@acidtumbleweed I have tried The Flame of Keld and it turned out great. Thank you for the addition.
May 8, 2018 1:50 p.m.
@acidtumbleweed I'm not sure about The Flame of Keld. It does seem powerful, but with sagas you have to plan 2 turns into the future. If I played this on turn 2 or 3, by turn 4/5 it would be great, but midgame it doesn't work. Normally I save cards in order to stack them for a big hit all at once, and although the draw two effect is nice, I'm not assured of getting a burn spell with which to use on the sagas last effect. However, I'll consider it, and it does seem like it might work.

I honestly don't think Baral, Chief of Compliance is necessary in this deck. The only cards that he reduces are your Lightning Strikes and your couple copies of Perilous Voyage. As for his second ability, your only counterspell is Wizard's Retort, which means that Baral should be replaced with a better, faster Wizard to help you get your fast clock going. And that wizard is Merfolk Trickster.
Merfolk Trickster is a card that requires a real MTG Mind to play. You can either play him offensively or on defense depending on your opponents board state compared with your own. I have a UR Wizards build similar to this and the Trickster is an all-star. I can play him to tap a creature to let my prowess creatures through, or even trade with The Scarab God after using a Wizard's Lightning or Lightning Strike on the god.
I hope you have some success with this deck and please take my suggestion into consideration!

I have been trying this list for a week now and it isn't reliable. Most of the games I run out of gas middle-to-late game and instead of drawing a bomb with 6 mana up you either draw a mana or a 1/1 1/2 creature that won't help in that state of the game.
I will be checking here for changes, but can't play this as a main deck.
May 9, 2018 3:45 p.m.
I'm not sure if you're playing this deck correctly. Even if you want to draw a 6-mana "bomb", the only card that could be truly considered would be River's Rebuke. Given that you're not trying to have a land drop every turn, only on the first three, you're not even guaranteed to get enough mana to do this. In general, this deck should not be conservative with attacking. You will be trying to attack quickly and effectively, and even if it does lose steam by midgame, you'll most likely be close to winning by that point.
Additionally, I have been playing with this deck recently, and it hasn't failed me very often.
May 9, 2018 4:58 p.m.
I'm being as aggressive as I can, but I've lost many games to Grixis Control, U/W tokens, Mono G Aggro R/G tokens. I understand this is a "bugdet deck" but still.
Middle-to-late game these decks can catch up with big things, life gain or bombs, and you often didn't have time to respond and finish.
It is a good deck as is, but it's not competitive enough to fight the current meta on my opinion.
May 10, 2018 5:52 p.m.
@alberson I understand what you mean when you say that this deck is weak to removal. I'm considering trying out Dive Down in place of Perilous Voyage (in the sideboard) in order to stop strategies like this, but I'm not sure if I should.
May 10, 2018 8:27 p.m.
u run 4 soul scar mage have you ever thought about blazing volley in the side or possibly main board it would put -1 counters on your oppentens creatures if they are playing controll deck easy to side out or birng in against go wide token stratagy
May 17, 2018 11:04 p.m.
@mikeb388: I see your point; however, a slow death with something like Blazing Volley just wouldn't be fast enough for this deck. In a longer game, Blazing Volley would be incredible; but this deck is trying to deal a burst of damage, all at once. However, if you can come up with a powerful application for the card, I would be happy to put it in the sideboard.

also dire fleet daredevil is a great sideboard card but not a wizard maybe take out chandra defeat for 2 daredevils

you could replace opt with Warlord’s Fury if you are against someone with early game blockers
