This deck has proved surprisingly effective. It is an aggro deck in that you are attacking your opponents, but combat damage does not tend to matter. It is just a way to trigger your general abilities to gain life and draw cards.

Because of their abilities apply to all your creatures, both Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper and Tymna the Weaver can have an impact the turn you play them.

In practice, Tymna the Weaver often nets you 1 extra card per turn starting turn 3 or 4.

With Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper menace is a surprisingly powerful ability. Important note is that her “butt-link” ability triggers every time a creature deals combat damage which means, Double strike triggers it twice. This can quickly escalate.

Example

Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper + True Conviction : each swing nets 3 lifelink and 7 buttlink = you gain 20 life.
