That’s funny! Lucky this deck isn’t as reliant on one card for a multi kill as prossh is. And even though similar in numbers and colors prossh’s mana base is more stable to support it. Do you agree?
Still testing aven mindcensor and gilded drake. Mindcensor is proving the better card.

I agree. Plus double black can be hard for a mediocre tutor.

How's Misdirection been working for you? Do you recommend it?
April 2, 2019 1:43 p.m.
In a meta with opposing counterspells I highly recommend using misdirection as offensive protection, but in a stax or voltron heavy environment it’s almost useless (at best misdirecting creature removal targeting hermit druid or fizzling their lone pyroblast).

Are there any cards in War of the Spark that you're interested in or wanting to test in the deck?
What do you think of the new card Neoform ?
April 8, 2019 8:19 p.m.
Haven’t seen the set yet. What are your thoughts?
Oh, if only neoform was an instant instead of sorcery... hermit druid might be banned :). As is, with an ideal draw (land, elf) it’s a turn 3 win but draw backs are its susceptible to most disruption. It's green sun's zenith #2 but slightly worse in casting cost (colors and sacrifice cost). What do you think?

There really isn't much I've seen that had piqued my interest, honestly. However, that's a good thing. That's means we're on the right cards and with slots being so tight, the card quality had to be high.
About Neoform, I'm on the fence about it. It'll be interesting to test but it didn't give us anything we didn't already have. The use case you cited was the only reason I was thinking of it.

Also, Survival of the Fittest really has shown up for me. I know it's like $100 but it's good for the deck.

Thinking on it a bit more, the consensus on Neoform seems to be cut Merchant Scroll for it but hmmm.
What do you think you'll cut to test it?

I've spent time updating the deck list but unfortunately tappedout crashed after hitting submit. Will try again later.
hurricane219, good call. Either that or perhaps the worst counter

I hope you're able to update the list. I'm always interested in your updates, as we are running very similar lists and I enjoy our discussion. :)

Finale of Devastation looks like a perfect card for our deck. What do you think?
April 20, 2019 8:16 a.m.
Not bad. I like your find in neoform a bit better. The four mana for finale to find hermit druid is bit slow (It’d be better if finale was an instant). Maybe in a mana heavy version of the deck it could exist like an anti stax breakfast.
Your good at finding new cards!

Thank you. I spend a bit of time refreshing the spoilers lol and on discord and the cEDH subreddit. I'm always looking our for cards for our decks. It's good to have someone to talk about the deck with and discuss new tech/lines with.
Of note, I recently changed up some lands. I took out Cradle and Cephalid Colosseum for Hallowed Fountain and Yavimaya Coast respectively. I felt, with the addition of Angel, and the fact the Cradle was dead most of the time, that those lands can be safely cut.
I hope your update is coming along well. Have you been able to jam some games with the deck?

The double white is a lot to cast..but Ranger-Captain of Eos maybe as another tutor and silence effect.

Sorry for the very late reply. Been busy with family these past months but hope to grind more MTG soon. Thanks for the comments!

Are you testing anything new? How's the deck treating you?
The real question is if we are desperate enough to run Grim Tutor lol? I think not, b/c we're not Prossh.
