Possibly consider Starfield of Nyx?

Both Chromatic Lantern and Celestial Dawn would help aginst Blood Moon as well as help me fixing for some of the more outrageous chrono chards like Necropotence. Drawbacks of Celestial Dawn is very very minor in this deck (Hurts Muddle the Mixture transmute and Teferi's Care's counter ability), so I'll see if I can find room for them.

@namliG: Starfield of Nyx It is just a liability, and has anti-synergy with Rest in Peace.

I still can't decide on Enduring Ideal... If I don't add a set of counters it will be really good with the remaining cards, but if I do add a bunch of counters it would be a shame to be unable to use them.

I'm also considering taking out Aura Thief for Forsaken Wastes or Counterspell.

I would swap starfield of nyx with rest in peace myself. No one likes Rip, like it is one of the top 5 most hateful cards probably. Play it in constructed maybe, in EDH I dunno. You also don't want forsaken wastes because oloro....

It just seems that starfield is an Opalescence with a possible upside.

So Opalescence main function is as a permanent land cleaner in combination with Enchanted Evening. It's a bit of an odd combo, and I am planning on taking it out since the card high risk on its own.

I've decided on the following 'last minute' changes while assembling the deck:

Changes

• Supreme Verdict --> The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale (yeah, it's so good that I can drop an Supreme Verdict. Punishes the opponents creatures and let me sack my Academy Rector.)
• Bloodchief Ascension --> Forbid (out due to lack of synergy with Rest in Peace and in to protect me versus destroy all enchantments effects)
• Opalescence --> Mana Drain (Narrow combo out, control and ramp in)
• Cyclonic Rift --> Triskaidekaphobia (I should not be using Cyclonic Rift on a single target, and I want a mana lockdown before I can overload it, so it's one of the auto-includes in blue, that I will not be playing with. Also good to leave out, when I plan to name it with Nevermore)
• In the Eye of Chaos --> Force of Will: Bringing in more counter spells (much more versatile vs. the threats I need to defend aginst) makes eye of chaos a liability.
• Painful Quandary --> Pact of Negation: Considering that I am trying to stall the game, people will have cards to discard. The card is good with Bloodchief Ascension, but now that is out, it does not carry it's weight.
• Aura Thief --> Celestial Dawn: Thief can only be killed during upkeep and requires Enchanted Evening to be in play... it is a bit situational and a big liability while waiting for my upkeep (can loose me the game). Celestial Dawn is a great mana fixer and also protects aginst Blood Moon.

In short: More hard control versus various threats (e.g., Blood Moon, Bane of Progress) and less elegance.

you are an amazing person.... also Elixir of Immortality yeah its an artifact but still its great in this kind of deck.

Wall of Tears

This deck without Opalescence just seems irrelevant. I don't mean that to be disrespectful but since you have Enchanted Evening, you might as well blow up lands. If you want to be extra greedy about it, throw in an anthem effect to give creatures you control +1/+1 so that your lands don't die to the effect. It's not fast, but at least it give a minor challenge to your deck.

@jettskawhirl I am playtesting the deck for the first time tomorrow. I'm sure I can win more consistently without Opalescence and Aura Thief, but games will drag out and the opponents will probably give up after lockdown has been achieved.

That being said, I will bring both Aura Thief and Opalescence just in case :)

Not sure I would ever run an anthem in this deck, since it would be a dead card most of the time.

MrHighscore Another thing, if you like longer games,Dovescape would be great side card if you want to mess with opponents. It's great with Humility

Lol - with Palace Siege/Subversion/Triskaidekaphobia/Underworld Dreams on the table and Dovescape + Humility + Night of Souls' Betrayal it is game over. A bit harder to pull off than Enchanted Evening + Opalescence , but still pretty fun.
