11/4/13Thinking of revisiting this list. Potentially adding True-Name Nemesis to the sideboard for the abrupt decay, and possibly tempo match ups. Seems like a nice swap for the Force of Wills that are in the main deck in those match ups. Sword of Fire and Ice is also very strong right now. Unexpectedly Absent is also worth consideration. Also if the abrupt decay match ups are a concern, 1 Sejiri Steppe could be valid, especially in a deck with brainstorm, so you rarely ever put it into play as a land.

4/25 musings

With storm and other combo being hated out a bit, it is probably time to move the library to the main and either put one force in the board or cut it entirely. Similarly, one of the canonists can probably now safely be shaved. I can either go with more controlish spells like meddling mage as a hedge, or threats/utility like snapcaster, geist, teeg, thrun or even thragtusk. There was enough stoneblade and miracles around recently, that it is not unlikely that some burn/UR delver shows up. In that case 1 warmonk, timely reinforcements or thragtusk could be useful.

Updated 4/21

2-0-2, in commanding control in game 3 of each of the draws (UW stoneblade and UWr miracles) but couldn't finish in time. Early game misplay on my part due to playing fast let the UW match go longer than it should have. Wins verse 1) UBw Turbo Texx + Thopter Sword with RIP/Helm in the board and 2) TES (Storm). Venser was very strong, like the sword main with all the control and combo around.

current version, as of 3/3/13. The sideboard was built so I had good matchups against Goblins, dredge and storm, everything else be damned.
