Teufell: I'm in the process of revamping the deck so she will come back eventually

I like your deck, this maybe one way I can build my Marchesa.

Reito Lantern is both really good with Sunforger and also graveyard removal (albeit somewhat slow for that). You might not need another Misteveil Plains, but I dig it in Sunforger decks. I actually used it once to keep from getting decked by restocking my library one card at a time with exactly the card I wanted... that's pretty niche but was also awesome.

Would love to hear how this version plays! I'm working on my version of her and am trying to be both an equipment/sunforger deck and an enchantment punisher deck at the same time and I know I need to pick a direction and go with it.

suarkdivad: This version plays very aggressively and has a pretty high win record especially in a 3 man pod. Depending on your playstyle, groupslug and equipment themes are completely different. Groupslug tends to play a longer and grindier game while equipment is pretty straightforward and you can use your superior board presence to leverage political advantage. I've tried both and honestly equipment is far superior if you care about winning.

I'm putting together something close to this with cards I have from other decks. What do you think of adding in Iroas, God of Victory and Mirage Mirror or Chromatic Lantern? Also, do you have any new opinions on Etali, Primal Storm and any of those other sunforger options you listed?

Diggin' the changes, Enral!. Really love the addition of Silent Arbiter. Think it could also work really well with Iroas, God of Victory!

Here are a few cards you could consider for your Sunforger Package Crackling Doom, Kolaghan's Command, Hide / Seek, Wear / Tear, and Utter End.
Steelshaper's Gift and Relic Seeker are both really cost effective ways to get the equipment you're looking for. You could also run Masterwork of Ingenuity to double up on a good equipment.
Brass Squire is a cheap way to get past equipment costs.
Akiri, Line-Slinger, Kari Zev, Skyship Raider, and Swiftblade Vindicator are cheap minions that hold weapons very well.

CaptSillva Hey thanks for your suggestions, those are certainly great and I will take a serious look at them!

Excited to see what changes you make to the deck, Enral! I think Swiftblade Vindicator is pretty great; I tried him over Grand Abolisher for a while. I personally was having trouble with vigilance and dealing with flying attackers. Reconnaissance and Brave the Sands were very useful, and the latter was bonkers with tokens in play. Serra Ascendant and Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice put in a lot of work for me as well.

Also noticed you're running Tithe now over Teferi's Protection. Is that just to get out Mistveil Plains asap? How useful has it been for you?

Obviously you need the new spoiled card Smothering Tithe. Will go perfectly, especially since The Monarch gives them cards, and then you get a treasure.

Cool deck! I built a version of your Queen Marchesa voltron deck earlier last year and while it dis well, people hated playing with it. I ended up converting into Marchesa politics and Samut voltron. I like the treasure theme and Revel in Riches wincon a lot. I think No Mercy and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight could be decent for you.

precociousapprentice: Oh my!!! That card came out at the perfect timing!! Definitely going in this deck!
imSandstorm: My playgroup hated playing against voltron too and I think being more political is the way to both have fun and win games. I like the idea of no mercy and gisela..I need to find a space for them.

Glad to see that the deck performed pretty well. Since you're still using Sunforger and have some pillow-fort and lock-out cards, have you considered Orim's Chant? It's brutal with Mistveil Plains. I ran it in my Samut, Voice of Dissent deck with Sunforger + Wheel of Sun and Moon and had to take it out due to the unfairness lol.
January 8, 2019 7:03 p.m.
imSandstorm: I love that card but since I'm playing more of a control/politics deck, Orim's Chant kinda go against the spirit of what my deck is trying to achieve. It's an awesome card thought!

Did CA prove to be a concern? I ask because, apart from the Monarch mechanic, I see few CA pieces.
Would love if you tell me your usual meta, might be of help to see your deck in a new light.
March 31, 2019 5:44 p.m.
Wedjat: Not really. Marchesa provides monarchy for card draw and I have many ways of tutoring for Necropotence. My meta is 75% consisting of a Jhoira combo, Muldrotha, and Najeela.

How do you feel about adding Dockside Extortionist ?
August 30, 2019 6:08 p.m.
imSandstorm: It's 100% going in. I just need to find the time to update this decklist.

Long ago, I tried your list but was in a bad mood that peculiar day and dismissed the deck as boring.
Well, I must have had a really bad day, because this has so much politicking that it's practically oozing out of every pore. I love it!
One question I have, and sorry if you already cleared that doubt... how do you handle all that life loss that you pay for effects? I noticed a lack of lifegain save for 2 cards.

Hi, please uncheck the prototype box. Your deck is very good, but I find it by accident. Please take a look at mine: Lex Talionis. Don't know which way to go... monarch, enchants, tokens or equip route...

Wedjat: The deck hinges on Platinum Angel sticking to neglect the life loss. Gisela, Blade of Goldnight also help with damage reduction. Hope that helps.
aekrusty: I think you provided the wrong link?
March 25, 2020 3:55 p.m.
Hi! Really enjoyed reading the primer, it seems like a pretty fun concept. In my pod, Aetherflux Reservoir is relatively common and I wanted to get your opinion on adding something like Angel's Grace as an extra tool to use if Delaying Shield or Solitary Confinement aren't on the board. I don't know if it's worth it to replace a card with it, and if it is worth it, which card would get the axe.
