And so it was, for if it wasn't, there would be no tale to tell, that on the twilight that comes before the night, the dwindling of the sun, Leinore gathered her coven for one great ritual, and now was the hour.

As she had seen her Coven Mother do so before her, she prepared herself for the Great Evening.

"The Sun must not set!" She had cried out, and her coven echoed her. They too knew it was time. They could all feel it. That sense of foreboding that electrifies the air, it could almost be tasted.

And so it began, with the lighting of the bonfire from which they took the flames and set alight to all of the candles, banishing every hint of shadow.

Then began the dancing, the chanting, the lighting of every flame, and as the dance went on, they could see the sun's setting slow, and what should have been minutes stretched to hours.

It was working.

Now they could truly begin.
