Lelouch vi Britannia Commands You!

Commander / EDH Control Theme/Gimmick UBR (Grixis)

In honor of the announced season 3, Lelouch of the Resurrection, I decided to revive this deck. Much like Sunrise decided to revive the series.

Lelouch Lamperouge lives a lie.

His past? A lie. His family? A lie. His name? A lie. His goals and ideals? Lies upon lies.

THE PAST

THE PRESENT

THE FIGHT

REBIRTH

THE BETRAYAL

THE ENDGAME

THE MONARCH

THE FINAL SHOWDOWN

THE CONQUEROR

All hail Lelouch.

Lelouch's Geass is very powerful; with it, he literally took over the world. Called "The Power of Absolute Obedience," it does just as advertised. Lelouch can command anyone he makes eye contact with and his orders become implanted in their brain, forcing the recipient to follow them. This deck will do the same thing.

Depending on how he words the command, Lelouch can either have the unfortunate victim obey his orders eternally, like Schneizel, or be used in a single instance, like Jeremiah. We have the same cases here.

Single Instances: Dominus of Fealty , Zealous Conscripts, Harness by Force, Insurrection, Mark of Mutiny, Mass Mutiny, Press into Service , Slave of Bolas , Act of Aggression , Grab the Reins

Eternal Obedience: Empress Galina, Gilded Drake, Keiga, the Tide Star, Olivia Voldaren, Roil Elemental, Thalakos Deceiver , Beacon of Unrest, Bribery, Rise of the Dark Realms, Control Magic, Soul Ransom , Treachery, Dack Fayden , Liliana Vess, Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker

Now, many of the people Leouch Geassed were ordered to kill themselves (see the first video) or they were in a battle and had a high likelihood of dying. We too have cards that will allow us to kill our Geassed creatures to keep our opponents from getting them back.

In-Card Possession and Removal: Slave of Bolas , Grab the Reins

Sacrificial Removal: Fleshbag Marauder, Grimgrin, Corpse-Born, Sidisi, Undead Vizier, Tymaret, the Murder King, Ashnod's Altar, Blasting Station, Cold Storage , Claws of Gix, Phyrexian Altar, Vampiric Rites , High Market, Miren, the Moaning Well

Interesting interactions:

Cold Storage + stolen creatures: This "combo" let's you put all the exiled creatures under your control- even if they're not originally yours!

Grave Betrayal + Marchesa, the Black Rose: Have Grave Betrayal on the battlefield and destroy your opponents' creatures. Grave Betrayal brings them back under your control with a +1/+1 counter, then if they die again, Marchesa, the Black Rose brings them back under your control once again!

Basically any steal effect + sack outlet.

The Black King stands before all.

I'll leave you with this gem.
