+1 For having one of my top ten anime series turned into a deck with videos to boot. Just some of your sorceries and enchantment fit the flavor so well.. Mind Control Mass Mutiny

Good job man.. I'm reliving my childhood right here.

Haha, thanks ZombieCat! I actually debated Grixis colors or Merieke Ri Berit for a more Lelouch Commander, but I'm pretty happy with what I have. Grixis gives me a plethora of steal cards and sacrifice outlets, which I think works better than Esper would.

Just out of curiosity, did you read the entire description with all 9 drop-down buttons and watch all 6 videos? If you watched all the videos, which was your favorite?

The Final Showdown and The Conqueror are the top favorites from your description. Now you've gotta figure out which creature is Orange-kun hahaha

Also F.L.E.I.J.A. = Damnation

Ooh, you're right! Damnation does equal F.L.E.I.J.A.!

As for Orange, I think Tymaret, the Murder King stacks nicely for him. Not only because he's one of my favorite creatures in the deck, but also because he doesn't stay dead and kills his old allies (that were previously Geassed into servitude against my opponents) for his master.

If I had found the proper place for them, I would have included these two videos in the description as well. Because Jeremiah Gottwald is a fricking boss and these are two of my favorite Code Geass non-episode videos.

Jeremiah Gottwald being a boss

Jeremiah Gottwald being Jeremiah freaking Gottwald

Dack's Duplicate for 2 instances of dethrone is pretty dominant

GoldGhost012 says... #14

Haha, everyone's +1'ing because of Code Geass. Not that I blame you guys! ;)

garrettlstewart, dethrone isn't the main thing here. Marchesa, the Black Rose was chosen because of the shenanigans that would ensue with the mass dethrone. In fact, more often than not, I often forget about Marchesa.

SpadeMagna, Sen Triplets would be a good Lelouch vi Britannia commander!

thePESSIMIST, no. I don't want to believe that.

@GoldGhost012: Then you obviously haven't seen the show enough times.

thePESSIMIST, I've seen R2 25 plenty of times. Kinda my favorite episode actually. I see where you draw proof from, and it's something I've looked into quite a bit, and I can see both sides of the argument.. I just choose to believe one side more than the other. :)

Now that I bothered to read the deck, your lack of Flayer of the Hatebound disturbs me. Him + Marchesa, the Black Rose + any sac engine = awesome

Sidenote: Where do you stand on the whole "Zero vs. Kira," debate?

June 17, 2014 12:57 a.m.

-Fulcrum says... #19

@GoldGhost012: I understand, I did the same. What is your reason for believing Lelouch died?

June 17, 2014 1:19 a.m.

GoldGhost012 says... #20

sonnet666, I'm not looking to build around Marchesa, she just had some cool interactions with some cards. I've actually removed Mikaeus, the Unhallowed , one of the cards that interacted the best with her. I don't think Flayer of the Hatebound is a very useful card for this.

I also know nothing about Death Note, Light Yagami, or even the debate, so I can't really weigh in on it.

thePESSIMIST, mostly because I have a hard time believing Charles's Code would lay dormant for three months before becoming active. All the other Codes became prevalent as soon as the recipient obtained them, so why should Lelouch be any different?

... That is how you believe he survived, right?

June 17, 2014 12:18 p.m.

-Fulcrum says... #21

@GoldGhost012: That is indeed how I believe he survived. The thing about the Code being dormant for Lelouch while it activated immediately for everyone else was that everyone else obtained it almost immediately as they "died." So my theory is that the Code only becomes active upon the Geass User's death. Though I did see another theory that I thought was absolutely brilliant, if unlikely. Someone was thinking that Lelouch had the Code and the Geass simultaneously and was therefore the first person to ever obtain "Code Geass."

GoldGhost012 says... #22

thePESSIMIST, I've heard 3 theories about "Code Geass," in the order of plausibleness:

  1. A Code cannot be destroyed, only moved. Therefore, as Charles ceased to exist, C's World conspicuously transferred his Code to what it believed to be the next worthy recipient: Lelouch. It laid dormant until his death, where it activated, and he became a Code Bearer, with his Code finally overwriting his Geass.

  2. Lelouch's will for his Geass's usefulness was too strong for the Code to overcome, and so laid dormant until his death, where it activated, similar to Theory #1.

  3. Lelouch gets the Code, doesn't really matter if by Theories #1 or #2, and it still lays dormant. At his death, the Code triggers. Instead of overwriting the Geass, instead the Code and the Geass cancel each other out, leaving Lelouch alive and now wholly without Code or Geass.

I kind of hate but kind of love that they left the ending wide open. On one hand, I hate not having complete closure, but on the other hand it creates debate, discussion, and a helluva lot of different paths people can interpret the future to be.

June 17, 2014 3:48 p.m.

-Fulcrum says... #23

@GoldGhost012: I agree with Theory #1, it just makes the most sense to me. Strangely enough, the first two or three times I watched the show, I chose to believe that Lelouch died in the end, but then I started thinking about what I wanted out of the ending. The way Lelouch basically saved the world, I figured it was supposed to be a happy ending. So I choose to believe Lelouch gets his happy ending.

I'm not really concerned with the "open" ending of Code Geass. It wrapped up the story and really only left us with one question, one that wasn't really crucial to the story itself. Now an ending that left me furious was the ending of Chuck. That was the kind of story that really needed the resolution....

By the way, have you watched any of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled?

June 19, 2014 5:47 a.m.

-Fulcrum says... #24

I gotta watch this show again

June 19, 2014 5:53 a.m.

GoldGhost012 says... #25

thePESSIMIST, I actually think that Lelouch would think wandering around the world immortally away from everyone he knows and loves except C.C. as his atonement of committing all his sins.

No, I haven't watched any Akito the Exiled. Isn't that set between R1 and R2 and is about a Japanese battalion fighting in the European Union against Britannia?
