POWER!!!!! , is for losers. I prefer a big ole booty and Doran, the Siege Tower has an army of booty to annihilate any enemy. Probably the most mana efficient commander on the block, Doran needs very little ramp but land fixing is very important. Dropping a booty turn one an two can lead to quick and huge attacks as soon as turn three. One of my favorite plays is turn one Tireless Tribe , turn two Primal Rage , and turn three Doran, simple but humongous!

Lots of good utility such as Mentor of the Meek can help tiny fists lead to big booties just in case you're opening hand isn't great. Trample and vigilance play huge parts in helping Doran's army defeat small bootied foes. In this respect Brawn , Oathsworn Giant , Glaring Spotlight , Triumph of the Hordes and other stuff like that become incredible with Doran. Sometimes dem booties aren't big enough and for that we have surprise booty enhancers like Tower Defense , Bar the Door , and Assault Formation to give that extra bit of ba'donk. Assault Formation is really nice because it is essentially a Doran backup in case he kicks it, although his cheap cost usually has him coming back for more and fast. Sometimes a front pump is ok when it's near the endgame such as Collective Blessing .

I'll just mention the elephant In the room, there really aren't many defenders or walls and to be honest, Doran is way better without them! As fun as using Assault Formation on Tree of Redemption after swapping life totals is, most defenders are too slow and hard to activate if you just want to go fast. I know its alluring to use defenders in Doran and they can be decent, but I have tried it both ways and trust me, Doran's army can truly unleash their power when unrestrained by attack stipulations.

As for protection goes, it comes in the form of "Power Hate" as I like to call it. Cards like Meekstone become awesome for keeping big fisted foes at bay. Wave of Reckoning has never killed ANY of my own creatures in case you were wondering, and similar cards like Fell the Mighty are extremely effective for clearing the way for booties supreme. Gaddock Teeg is a nice lock out that I find doesn't hurt much in Doran's army and Aura Shards crumbles anything dem booties can't handle.

Overall this deck is extremely fast, powerful, and fun. Doran and his troops effortlessly wipe life totals by turn five or six and even more effectively in the turns that follow so for this reason I would consider this a competitive deck. I know it is very effective but I would love for others to try it out and give any constructive feedback possible, have fun and enjoy da booty!!
