Unfortunately, I was missing 2 x Mizzium Mortars (replaced with 2 x Magma Jet) and did not have the sideboard.

Round 1: Esper control 2-0

First match, my opponent struggled due to mana flood and I was able to win easily with multiple creatures on the board. Second match, I played Elvish Mystic and ramped into an Ember Swallower, while he managed to get out an AEtherling. I was able to remove it on my turn with Clan Defiance before it caused any problems and then won before he was able to recover.

Round 2: Rakdos Aggro 1-2

First match, my opponent was able to win with Rakdos Cackler, Spike Jester and Legion Loyalist, while using Dreadbore and Doom Blade to remove my larger creatures. Second match, I was able to ramp with Elvish Mystic and Sylvan Caryatid into a Xenagos, the Reveler, while my opponent used some early burn to the face and had a Spike Jester and Chandra's Phoenix in play. Turn 5 was excellent for me as I was able to use the abilities of my creatures, plainswalker and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to ramp my Clan Defiance to almost lethal, whilst also taking out both of their creatures. They weren't able to recover and I won the following turn. Third match, I kept a hand that I should have mulliganed as I was holding a Domri Rade, although I had no turn 1 or 2 plays. My opponent did some early damage with Rakdos Cackler and had sided in some Boros Reckoners , one of which they got out third turn. I managed to get out my Domri Rade who was immediately destroyed and then the following turn I got out an Arbor Colossus. I killed their Boros Reckoner, although this left me with just 3 life. The next turn my opponent played a second Boros Reckoner, for which I had no way to counter.

Round 3: Combo 2-1

First match I had almost the perfect start, having Elvish Mystic, 2 x Burning-Tree Emissary, Sylvan Caryatid, Xenagos, the Reveler and Satyr Token on the field on turn 3. Looking to be an easy win I was taken by surprise when my opponent played Elite Arcanist, Zhur-Taa Druid and Triton Tactics and proceeded to tell me he won. The infinite combo ended the game. Both match 2 and 3 I won by overpowering him creatures and using Clan Defiance to remove any pieces of the combo.

Round 4: Ana Midrange 1-2

First match my opponent got out 2 x Duskmantle Seer and the flying damage plus the additional damage during the upkeep was too much for me. Second match, he used Scavenging Ooze and Deathrite Shaman to wreak havoc with the graveyards but I was able to overpower him with a monstrous Arbor Colossus and an Ember Swallower. Third match, he used Jace, Arcitect of Thought to limit my damage, while he attacked with removal and 2 x Deathrite Shaman. I managed to hold out for a few turns using my hexproof Sylvan Caryatids, although I got mana flooded and couldn't make any plays.

Cool deck! Have you considered throwing in Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx ? You've only got two creatures that have no green in them, so the devotion would be pretty easy to get! Also, I would also think about upping some legendaries to maybe two of. One of each doesn't bode very well for consistency, but nevertheless the deck is cool and it works! +1 from me!

Swmrulz Yeah I may in sideboard some doubles of the legendary cards that I can use when if a specific ability is more useful - ie: against fliers 2 x Bow of Nylea . I am not a fan of dead cards though so I will see how it goes. I am looking to test Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx after seeing how well it works in you deck. Thanks

I would remove the 2x Nemesis of Mortals for something more impacting... maybe Gruul Ragebeast ? I'd also play Mistcutter Hydra , probably over the Arbor Colossus .

I realise you are doing this with cards you own, which I admire a lot. :)

Stormbreath Dragon would be excellent here. Protection from white is highly relevant against control decks and decks like selesnya aggro. I recommend adding it in!

Degonvey and TheFanatic thank you for your suggestions. I really like the idea of having Witchstalker , Mistcutter Hydra and Stormbreath Dragon in the side board. This will really make it difficult for Blue and White decks. Unfortunately I don't have any of these cards yet but I will look into getting them.

I'm not convinced about the Gruul Ragebeast as it is a 6/6 for 7 (maybe a little high on the mana curve) and the ability may prevent me from playing low toughness cards while he is out. I will have a couple of play tests with him though and see how he goes.

The reason that Arbor Colossus and Nemesis of Mortals (well most of the cards actually) are in the main deck is because they are high power and toughness for their mana cost (6/6 for 5cmc and 5/5 for 2-6cmc, respectively), they have mana sink abilities and they have plenty of devotion. Mistcutter Hydra and Stormbreath Dragon on the other hand are much lower in terms of power and toughness to cmc and Mistcutter Hydra doesn't have much devotion or any use for mana once it is out - though against their respective colours they would be amazing.
