This deck is really fun to play. Not a top tier deck or anything, but you'll have a lot of interesting games with it. I'm calling it "Esper Creature Control," but it's the pirates in the deck that really do the heavy lifting. Gimme a +1 if you like the deck, and as always, feedback/suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
NOTE: I would love to play a couple The Scarab God in here, but good Lord. I'm not going to buy them, and nobody is trading them :/ The deck is fine without it, really.
The game plan: Early game is spent getting our weenies down, Siren Stormtamer and Kitesail Freebooter are great utilities; even when we whiff on the booty from the hand for Freebooter, we still get a 1/2 gal in the sky. We also have a pretty heavy nope package, that'll help us get in a few points of damage with the weenies. Midgame we have Gideon of the Trials and our bread and butter in Hostage Taker. Champion of Wits and Cloudblazer give us some card advantage and stabilization. God-Pharaoh's Gift is our late game closer, but it's not super necessary.
So far, the only deck that I just can't see beating is Dinos. I've played it once, and lost 1-2 (the game that I took was because I topped a Dusk / Dawn). So, suggestions in that area are MOST appreciated. I foresaw Carnage Tyrant being an issue, but Regisaur Alpha is good about closing the game before big bad tyrant even comes into the picture. Very hard deck to deal with!
Performance so far:10/11/2017: 3-1 Tuesday Night Magic. Not super impressive, lots o' janky brews in my local meta on tuesday nights. I was happy to see I have a pretty good matchup against control decks, though. Dinosaurs tainted my 4-0 night.
