Inspired heavily by Vos_Is_Boss and the The Kessig Township deck, only modified slightly to my available cards and meta.
In this deck, there are no funny shenanigans with ramp, combo or control. This is straight out aggro, centered around Champion of the Parish, who is, in my opinion, the strongest one-drop available for human decks (even in Legacy, Vintage and Modern). This is complemented by numerous strong humans available in Naya colors, like Burning-Tree Emissary, Mayor of Avabruck
and Silverblade Paladin.
There are some deviations from the original The Kessig Township deck that are elaborated upon below (but mainly, it comes down to me not having Boros Reckoner or Boros Charm at my disposal):
3x Pillar of Flame - I am very often in a situation where I am up against obnoxious Zombies with Undying. This is a perfect response to that problem, as, typically, most creatures with Undying have a remarkably low toughness. Undying is basically the reason why Pillar of Flame is chosen over Lightning Bolt.
Razorverge Thicket over Sunpetal Grove is a decision made simply because I find turns 1 through 3 to be the most important. I want to be able to get a dual land on my first turn, and for that purpose, Razorverge Thicket is clearly more suited. My only regret is that fastlands are strictly allied colors - had it not been like that, I'd replace those filthy Clifftop Retreat too.
The lack of Volcanic Strength warrants an explanation as well: I realize that in The Kessig Township they are included because of the surge of Mountain shock-lands after Gatecrash, but in my meta, I'm pretty much the only one running shocks. Due to that, its Mountainwalk effect is pretty much lost, which is why I felt I had to cut it.
Day of Judgment - a boardwipe in a heavy aggro deck may seem peculiar, but this is mainly because of how I frequently play against Elves in the form of deck:lets-play-elf-swarm and in that matchup, I could very well be out-creatured. In that case, I find myself able to recoup from that wipe more successfully than the Elf deck.
Blessings of Nature over Rancor - ... the GF needed them for her Let's Play: Gnarly Auras! deck. That's it. I'd run Rancor if I could. If I could, I would. Very much so.
Grand Abolisher - basically because 4x Cavern of Souls is not enough counter-counter for me. I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to counterspells. :(
The sideboard is obviously a work in progress, and as such, no comments will be made on it at the moment.
All and any comments (or upvotes, if you're in that mood) are very welcome, and I'd love some discussion or criticism. All criticism is good criticism, and comments, upvotes and suggestions will be reciprocated. :-)
