Thanks, RZ! I love Strionic Resonator ...wish I could make the "may" ability of Demon give me two +1/+1 counters with it!

Very nice. Lots of power. Maybe a Savage Surge could help. Also a little trick I use with my own Golgari deck is the scavenge secret. Give a creature in your graveyard a boost with a +/+ card then scavenge, getting them an even bigger and for just a small price. I personally use Phytoburst and Slitherhead . My opponents never see that coming lol.

Im going to look this one up. I've won local tourneys with this and no one has ever said I couldn't do it before. I want this to be legal so thank you for reminding me to check up on that.

Detail: Comprehensive Rules (ie, the Official MTG Rules from Wizard's) 114. Targets114.2 Only permanents are legal targets for spells and abilities, unless a spell or ability (a) specifies that it can target an object in another zone or a player, (b) targets an object that can't exist on the battlefield, such as a spell or ability, or (c) targets a zone.

  1. Permanents110.1 A permanents is a card or token on the battlefield. A permanent remains on the battlefield indefinitely. A card or token becomes a permanent as it enters the battlefield and it stops being a permanent as it's moved to another zone by an effect or rule.

Permanents can only be found on the battlefield. When a creature is on the field, it is a 'creature permanent'. When you cast a creature spell, you put the 'creature card' out from your hand (usually) and put the 'creature spell' on the stack. A creature card is a 'creature card' in hand, in library, in graveyard, in 'exile' zone. To us player, it is the same 'card' physically however to the game, that 'same card' has different 'definition' when it is in different zone.

I really like this deck and gave you a +1 for this one!

But I have to ask: Why is Sengir Vampire in it? What is his role? I'd remove him and add some Abrupt Decay into the mainboard. Mainly because of some aggro decks. Another thing would be to put Witchstalker into the mainboard and add some Scavenging Ooze which can eat up your Deadly Recluse after they blocked someone (and the sacrificed creatures too)

Thanks! Sengir is here because he's awesome with Hunt the Weak. Plus he's just a classic!

Ah ok, I see that point. Nice :)

You can't sacrifice a creature for Desecration Demon . Only an opponent can. I got into trouble at FNM for doing this.

1+. Looks good for a two colored deck. The only thing I would say is that Savage Summoning should be in the sideboard. Perhaps you could swap it for Abrupt Decay ?

That's almost certainly more effective, but im trying to distinguish this list a bit from the usual Golgari aggro. Plus I'm too poor to own enough :D

Considered it, but none of my guys have +1/+1 counters by default. Might add one at some point.

Another good card that I rarely keep out of any deck I play with black in it is Crypt Ghast . Its mana ramping abilities is ridiculously over powered and the extort is an added bonus.

for counters, Give / Take to keep it in rotation or even better Increasing Savagery which is rotating out

i would say increasing savagery or give/take instead of hunt the weak and add more mutants prey

perhaps Farseek would be nice. Would help you ramp to a turn 3 Desecration Demon if you don't draw the elf. This you could play until theros.

I don't think Slitherhead really does you anything, even with corpsejack on the field.

Very Nice, I definitely LOVE this. However deathtouch creatures in big numbers can be a real pain if you do not get Putrefy or scavenge creatures in time (or you are playing vs a person you have no idea about and don't get these extra Putrefy illimination cards from sideboard to your deck). Let me know what's the best I can do here in your opinion?

Ference says... #22

Grimgrinner, I found Slitherhead to be a really nice card to block anything to postpone the gameplay to a moment when you have better cards to deal with creatures (especially ones with deathtouch) and once this moment comes you still can use Slitherhead scavenge for a nice +1/+1 boost (which hopefully will be turned into +2/+2) on core cards.

I love the deck man, its a +1 from me. My only concern is that you dont have any main board removal for creatures. I haven't played youre type of deck very often but i would try Kalonian Hydra out because it buffs all creatures with +1/+1 on them, it worth a try.

Love your deck theme MinscAndBoo why not throw in a couple of Dying Wish inside it will certainly make your opponent think twice about blasting a demon that has been pumped to 8/8

so your argument for slitherhead is that it's a good chump blocker? if that's the case try out Wasteland Viper . Oh nice 5/5 Olivia Voldaren . BLOODRUSH.
