This deck contains ALL of the "Level Up" cards from the Rise of the Eldrazi set. I have an affinity for them in spite of the fact that they are often terrible, particularly so in faster formats like standard. In slower formats like EDH they become slightly better. So I decided to build a deck around the "Level Up" theme, and this is what I came up with. The commander, Cromat , is only used to achieve all five colors but can be handy in a pinch.

A lot of cards in the deck are dedicated to mana fixing or mana acceleration. Having tons of mana makes nearly each creature a significant threat.

Here's the list of creatures that aren't levelers and their reason for inclusion:
Kira, Great Glass-Spinner : an extra layer of protection for the levelers
Oracle of Mul Daya: mana acceleration
Primeval Titan: mana acceleration
Venerated Teacher : A nice way to add counters to the levelers, but I'm not sure he has enough impact since I removed Genesis Wave
Bringer of the Blue Dawn: card advantage engine with a yummy rainbow flavor

I added Freed from the Real after I realized it would be completely ridiculous with Joraga Treespeaker + Mycosynth Lattice, Kazandu Tuskcaller, Brimstone Mage , Guul Draz Assassin , or Enclave Cryptologist. Maybe those aren't enough targets to warrant it, but it sounds like fun.
