I wanted to build a deck around Lich since some consider it one of the worst cards in the game. It's hard to base an EDH deck around one card, but this is what I came up with. I've only play tested it so far (no real games) but it's super fun to play. In this deck, Lich combos well with anything that gives you a benefit in exchange for loss of life. Cards like Graveborn Muse , Undead Augur , etc. Just have to be careful you can save yourself with cards like Lich's Mirror or Stunning Reversal if you're not able to counter any Lich removal. Note that Angel's Grace will not work here since your life total is below 1.

Lich's Mastery and Nefarious Lich are similar to Lich but work differently. You can use Angel's Grace , Stifle , etc. to save yourself from losing the game if they're removed. Lich's Mastery doesn't synergize as well since it's downside works on loss of life rather than damage but it still works very well and is on theme. Nefarious Lich is essentially a lich without being put at 0 life. Though you can still lose for having 0 or less life.

There are more combos and I'm still tweaking a bit. The Madness mechanic works very well with Varina so I might add in Gisa's Bidding and/or Grave Scrabbler . Revenge of Ravens could work really well with the Lich cards too.
