I need help/suggestions/play-testing! I've wanted to build an Evolve/Undying deck ever since I bought the Simic intro deck, but I wasn't sure how to make it work. Now, with inspiration from Professor Xavier's Other Gifted Youngsters and Deadpool, here's my take on an Evolve deck.
Mainboard:
Cloudfin Raptor: Cheap flyer that will evolve at the drop of a hat.
Corpsejack Menace: I splashed black for this guy. He'll double the counters from evolution AND spells like Bioshift.
Elusive Krasis: Unblockable, easy to evolve and to evolve others with.
Experiment One: A one drop with regenerate (assuming he gets to evolve...)
Master Biomancer: Folks love this guy. Pile counters on him, and every creature I play gets even more!
Putrefy: Removal.
Rancor: A reusable trample enchant.
Rapid Hybridization: Meant to combo with an Undying creature to double-dip on the Evolve mechanic.
Strangleroot Geist: A 2/1 Undying with haste. These nasty critters are meant to give my deck some speed.
Vorapede: A 5/4 Undying with vigilance. Looks spectacular to me.
Vorel of the Hull Clade: This guy doesn't seem so popular. I figure he could work well if I have already been taking advantage of Corpsejack Menace and/or Master Biomancer.
Maybeboard:
Garruk, Primal Hunter: He looks like he might synergize well with this deck, given that he can pop out 3/3 tokens to fuel evolution.
Progenitor Mimic: Also looks like it might synergize well if it pops out a tough token every turn. This seems more situational though.
Simic Manipulator: It'd be fun to steal my opponent's creatures, but pulling off the effect might be tricky... It might work better though with Master Biomancer and Corpsejack Menace.
Sideboard:
Golgari Charm: Regen protects against board wipes.
