Maybeboard

The main strategy of this deck is to gain enough life to trigger the win condition for Felidar Sovereign. This should be rather easy after casting certain creatures:

  • Suture Priest gives you life every time you cast a creature. It also lowers your opponent's life simultaneously.

  • Lone Missionary is not only quick creature that can later be pumped up with Sunbond but also gives you an extra four life for the cheap converted mana-cost of two.

  • Wall of Reverence gives you life at the end of every turn equal to one of your creature's power. Once Ajani's Pridemate has been pumped later in the game, you should be gaining around an additional eight to ten life every turn.

Protecting these creatures should be rather easy once you play Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant   assuming that you have enough life to trigger his flip effect.

Mentor of the Meek helps with accelerating the deck so you draw the cards you need fast - you want to play Felidar Sovereign as soon as possible, so use the Mentor's ability every time you cast a spell.

There are two alternate methods of winning:

  • if you don't play Felidar Sovereign, you can simply beat down you opponent with Ajani's Pridemate.

  • You can gain enough life to transform your Chalice of Life   thus dealing five damages to your opponent every turn (most likely killing them off in four turns).
