A green/white deck based around gaining a lot of life (trying to avoid unlimited combos though). Also avoiding Mythic Rares for playgroup balance.

A card like Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn is a dream come true for a lifegain deck! The idea of this deck is to gain as much life as possible in combat, making extremely large creatures, and then doing more combat for even larger creatures! With cards like Light of Promise and Sunbond, the amount of strength gained by lifegain can get to very high levels. The commander and several of the creatures have lifelink already, but if they don't, they can benefit from Spirit Link, Spirit Loop, and Armadillo Cloak for some not-lifelink lifelink. Naturally, these creatures become a big target for Unsummons and Murders, so hopefully protection can be given with Aspect of Mongoose, Alpha Authority, or Canopy Cover. I'll have to experiment to see if more shroud/hexproof is necessary.

Green provides classic mana ramp cards like Cultivate, and Harrow. More mana is always nice to have. Green is also providing the card draw in multiple forms. One way is ambient draw like Abzan Beastmaster, Colossal Majesty, and Triumph of Ferocity. There's also big draw events from Hunter's Insight, Hunter's Prowess, and Soul's Majesty; with large creatures these cards can lead to massive amounts of drawing.

So hopefully we've gained a ton of life, drawn a ton of cards, and the creatures are massive! How to deal with threats? A couple of my favorites like Oblivion Ring and Banishing Light are included to exile. But ideally the enemy creatures will be removed through big combat with big creatures.

In order to get through enemy defenses, there are a couple of options. Either trample through with Pelakka Wurm or Elderwood Scion, or slip through with Beloved Chaplain or Commander Eesha. Hopefully it will be a fun deck to play, either in 1v1s or big fun free for alls.
