Yes, you may recognize this. This is my rendition of a deck edited by Gavin Varhey in his Zero to Sixty article posted 9/25/12.

Ok so this deck is just nuts on power level. Virtually every card synergizes with another to produce overwhelming life totals that make Aggro builds whimper. And don't think this is some goof-ball, scrub "life-gain" deck. The life is used as a tool. Lemme explain:
While the deck IS a life-gain deck, it can also function as a mid-range and a combo deck! Trostani, Selesnya's Voice + Rhox Faithmender + tokens = A LOT of life very quickly (plus lots of tokens). And boy does Chalice of Life
combo with high life totals. Once Chalice of Death is online, my opponents will be hard pressed to deal the 47 damage in two-three turns that they'd need to kill me.
BREAK-DOWN:
Rhox Faithmender - A rhino with a purpose. He helps my life totals sky rocket, especially with multiple copies.
Chalice of Life
- The work horse of my lifegain input also is my primary win con. It's flip is downright deadly with multiple copies.
Avacyn's Pilgrim - Gotta love them mana dorks.
Thragtusk - One of the best cards to come from a rather aweful core set, Thragtusk provides so much value and synergy that I sometimes wish I could just play with 8 copies of it sometimes.
Restoration Angel - Trollolololol "nice combat phase."
Collective Blessing - A powerful six-drop that closes out games quickly and efficiently.
Drogskol Reaver - My other main win con. An unanswered Drogskol is game in three turns tops.
Azorius Charm - Of all the charms, I like this one the most. Primarily for the reason that its the first half of Think Twice OR super bounce. Oh and uhhh more life gain.
Trostani, Selesnya's Voice - Another work horse, Trostani (like the actually being) functions in three ways: As a lifegain engine, a token engine, or just a solid 2/5 for 4.
Armada Wurm - These two handsome fellows just might have to take Trostani on a double-date... or would that be a triple-date...?
Sphinx's Revelation - Extra mana loves being pumped into this utility one-of.
Farseek - Fixing and ramp.
+1 or constructive criticism please. Honestly, this deck is really fun and you should consider giving it a whirl.
Stay sexy my friends.
