Killing by creatures is not the desire with this deck. I thought about protection creatures, but that limits me to not doing any creature damage. Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood work well together, but I don't want to rely on that combo. I think that the Sanguine Bond effect works really well with life gain, and it just so happens that Vizkopa Guildmage has the same ability.

Heroes' Reunion is awesome as a quick 7 life and hopefully 7 damage. Then you can throw in a cheap Voracious Wurm for a 2 drop 9/9 creature. Rhox Faithmender just makes the life gain and damage and Voracious Wurm bigger.

Chalice of Life   is also a good combo with life gain. I am not sure if this will work very well, but I want to give it a try for a while.

I don't like many of the lifelink creatures, because the lower CMC ones are wimps and are kinda pointless on turn 3 and later.
