Definitely. It may take a bit longer to get the number of charge counters you want but you have more control of setting it and can change that number after it is played.

I would replace a Sorin with Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and go up to 4 Path to Exile over the 2nd Dismember.

Path is 1 mana removal that doesn't cost you 4 life, plus it's exile and a guaranteed kill. Dismember is a good card, but Path is preferable IMO. As for Gideon, he's an absolute powerhouse, and having him means you can have 2 planeswalkers out at the same time.

Cool! Thanks for the input, I pretty much don't have the 4th Path in here because I actually don't own one. But I've been looking around while also trying not to spend even more money on the deck so that's partially why the second Dismember is still in. I'll change it when I can!
As for Gideon, I just don't have him. When I was first making this deck he wasn't out and then people didn't think that he would fit well, especially in place of the lifelink that Sorin gives. I will however certainly try him out when I get my hands on 1. I may even try to have 1 of him and 3 Sorin and take out something else.
Thanks for taking the time to explain!

Mr_Radical both of those are too slow for this deck. You need to have at least 5 lands out to make Secure the Wastes a good deal, and Elspeth can't drop until turn 6, which is waaay too late.

What about Monastery Mentor to get pin action off all the non-creature spells? i know he's a couple of bucks, but damn he would rule in this build. Maybe more so than Gideon.

I actually hadn't thought about it! The only problem is that part of the reason to run tokens is to avoid targeted removal. I'd want to be able to play this and a spell on the same turn which would be at least turn 4 if not 5-6.
But I will have to check it out, interesting thought though. Thank you!

Secure the Wastes is nice b/c you can play it on their turn. I've seen people play Mirrorweave but that decision is entirely up to you. I would play at least 1 more Zealous Persecution to make the late game a little easier. Maybe cut 1 land or a discard spell?
February 28, 2016 9:17 p.m.
I can't get rid of discard, it's what makes this deck resilient. Mirrorweave sounds interesting. And I'm ok with my 1 Zealous Persecution in main and 1 in the side. I am looking a different land though. So that could be a potential card to take out for Gideon...
Thanks for the input!

Honor of the Pure would be neat in this deck. Also, Raise the Alarm would be a nice advantage.

Hey, thanks for the comment! I've learned that there are 2 types of B/W tokens to play. One is a Raise the Alarm shell and the other is a Bitterblossom shell and they are built a little bit differently. Since I have and am playing Bitterblossom, Honor of the Pure doesn't work quite as well. Also it would be really hard to know which one to play on turn 2 as both are good for that slot. As far as anthem effects I have Intangible Virtue and Zealous Persecution and then my planeswalkers can both provide effects as well.
I actually just took Raise the Alarm out of my sideboard as I want to focus on the Bitterblossom version of the deck instead of trying to use my SB to change how I play the entire game. I'd rather use my SB for disrupting my opponents plays.

For you to compare. This is my pet deck. Glad to see others enjoying tokens.

O ok gotcha, smart!
And I pretty much forgot I had put that in there... kinda as a joke as there are way better 6-drops in modern. Would Ratchet Bomb be an ok sub for EE?
