So my playgroup and I recently had some friends join in who are pretty new to magic. They understand the basics and even some of the more technical things, but dont know a lot of the cards. They wanted to get into EDH, but then Brawl was mentioned. I already have a few Brawl decks that are pretty fine-tuned, and so our playgroup decided to make some really casual Brawl decks.

We decided that each of us purchasing one of the new 5 Planeswalker decks from Magic 2019 and build a brawl deck using cards only from Dominaria and Magic 2019 until further sets release. In addition, each deck is only allowed to have a maximum of 12 rare cards (as of right now, no mythics aside from the Commander) to keep it fairly casual. These restrictions are intended to keep all of our decks at the same power level.

The planeswalker deck I chose was Liliana, the Necromancer. Mono Black is a fun archetype, and this Liliana seemed interesting as a casual Brawl Commander because it slowly builds card advantage over time and isn't seen as an immediate threat. This is my first take on how I plan to build the deck.
