Well, though not a complete or immediate answer, Obliterator doesn't care about the leyline, nor do Lily or Rix Maadi.
Say Hallowed, I'd like to second the notion of maining Kolaghan's Command if you can find space.

Yeah, I'd love to get some but they are kinda pricey.

It would do nothing but help you, were it not for one factor. Pretty much all of your deck synergizes with itself. So fitting a few in might take some playtesting.

Now mind you these are just a few ideas. Take them or leave them. I'm a large large fan of this deck and when it hits on all cylinders it's extremely hard to beat. Keep up the great work.

Honest opinions on what I should do. Got 1 k command, mb or SB? And swap for what? I was thinking mb for a blackmail.

I would say ditch blackmail for command. You have plenty of 1 cmc discard. And have you considered Rakdos Charm as a mainboard card? I dunno if it's a good idea here, but it's versatile enough to merit mainboard play in a lot of decks.

Lol, I was hoping you'd chime in Yamishi, you have a lot of experience with this archetype I take it? I too really like rakdos charm but am unsure if I want to MB it. For sure I will cut a blackmail for the command. Thanks for the final push dude!

I'm not very experienced with this specific deck. But, I do run something very similar in Pauper. I see your deck, and it's obvious to a trained eye what this deck intends to do and how it works, and how the pieces fit together. That said, I have a lot of knowledge of specifically Black and Red. Those are MY colors. And this archetype has been gaining popularity in Modern. I know the Modern meta like the back of my hand, it so happens.

Oh by the way, have you given any thought to Leyline of the Void?

If you were to obtain additional commands, perhaps consider siding out Wrench Mind. Because Affinity is very, very common right now.

So you're huh. ; )
I value all your insights as I don't know the modern meta well. I work friday nights so that rules out my lgs modern FNM(only modern gig in town) Not sure why i build modern decks but I do have 1 friend who I can spar with who also has some modern decks-however he isnt as aggressive or experienced when it comes down to it(and i helped him make his decks competitive)
Anyway, I do have 3 leylines but they are in my The Budget End sb. I suppose I could share them(but it kills me to do so). I really like the idea of siding out the wrench minds for more commands(when I get em). I do get alot of flak from various sources over my inclusion of the Obliterators, maybe I'd take em out if I ever get more Lili. Thanks for commenting again Yamishi!

Pfft. Obliterator is fine. You're mostly black. And he gives you some very welcome extra damage on top of your residual burns. I like him. The only other creature worth running imo is Gary (Grey Merchant), though your deck has a lot of instant/sorceries, meaning you don't have that much devotion. As for Bob (Dark Confidant), you run a fair amount of 3+ cmc, and you're about outlasting opponents.

Obliterator is board control, which this deck lacks otherwise. And he just oozes pressure. He can be played offensively or defensively. Not many creatures dominate board states on their own quite like an Obliterator.
November 22, 2015 8:09 p.m.
Hey, traditionally, this decks way to deal with early game creatures is through Ensnaring Bridge...you do run creatures, which is uncommon, though in this, I think they're great. So I get once turn 4 hits you're pretty much set...but how do you deal with decks like RDW and Affinity...perhaps even Elves. Basically fast decks that have the ability to ramp large or drop tons of small creatures? Post SB it isn't quite as bad, but you still don't have many answers for the super speedy decks...I think more Ensnaring Bridge...at least 3 MB would benefit you pretty greatly. I hate to say it...but the places I would cut for this would be 2x Phyrexian Obliterators and 1x Raven's Crime. You need a good defensive presence early game...and the Bridges would make Obliterator slightly less necessary. This of course depends entirely on your normal playgroup. Haha. You stated above that you normally only play one guy in the modern format...so if he doesn't have any super aggro-y decks...your build will be much better suited for that matchup. :p

Yeah Jacob, more bridges would be nice but the price hurts. And I do agree I am weak to lots of critters-luckily my modern buddy doesn't have much like that.
November 22, 2015 8:42 p.m.
Well, as long as he doesn't run an thing like that I'd say you're golden. Haha. And I hear you there. Ensnaring all the money. Those and LiliVeils...my god. She is so gorgeous...and so expensive. She tops Jace now...

I only own 1 copy of Liliana of the tits. I got her in a trade when she was like 20 bucks. I'm actually really glad I got my set of Verdant Catacombs when original Zendikar was still the current set. They were 10 each back then, now they're like 50. I bought a set of Ravnica Bob just recently, and I had to sell my Wii U for it (failed system. I don't miss it. As long as I have my PS3, PS4 and 3DS I'm good). And I just got done trading up to a set of Lorwyn Thoughtseize.
