Liliana is the puppet-master now, Razaketh.
Still just a shell of an idea that needs tweaking and updating based on card releases, but the general idea is a midrange shell with spicy tech: Liliana, Death's Majesty reanimating a discarded or milled Razaketh, the Foulblooded. THE FLAVOR!!
The idea is to use Razaketh as a pseudo-combo finish for a midrange deck. Razaketh can feed on Cryptbreaker or Zombie tokens (or anything, if necessary) to tutor up some fantastic one-of win-cons. He can find a missing Brisela piece or an Approach of the Second Sun twice for the win. He can tutor a Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet or removal spell if we need one ASAP. He can tutor or flip an Archangel Avacyn
.
Liliana can similarly reanimate the powerful mid and late game angels, or bring back the sacrificial Gifted Aetherborn if needed. Her ulti won't kill anything she reanimates, which means we can sometimes one-sided boardwipe with our zombies.
Need help!
Right now the deck struggles a bit in the deck philosophy area. I think it will shine better as a midrange deck so it has ways to protect Liliana after she comes down, and so that the opponent is less likely to have removal for Razaketh; but it also wants to win with 7 CMC win-cons, Bruna and Approach. Advice in this area would be appreciated!
Also, the double mana symbols in Grasp (definitely needs to be mainboard) and Gifted Aetherborn (maybe doesn't need to be in the deck, but it's a fucking fantastic creature in a fair format, and I already need double black for Grasp) makes the in Gisela, the Broken Blade difficult. And sideboard Hour of Revelation is barely squeaking by.
Also, Bontu's Last Reckoning > Fumigate? Yahenni's Expertise > either?
Definitely open to opinions on the sideboard, but it will be shaky regardless until the set releases and meta drops.
