Dude_3 if that's how you feel then would rather you not. Deck is doing exceedingly well for a casual, budget group which is all I ever wanted it to do.

Perhaps my comment was slightly harsh. I'm probably not the voice to listen to when it comes to EDH because I'm completely devoid of understanding of how a casual format could be fun. If I'd play any deck in EDH it'd be 5C Hermit Druid, which consistently wins T3/4 through multiple pieces of disruption, and has extremely strong recursion and insurance for late game.

Disregard my previous statement. Feel free to clear comments.

No worries Dude_3. I have no illusions this would win a tournament. But in a group of $30-250 edh decks it's being hated out as winning too much. We have slow, adaptive games and this deck is just valuing out wins through attrition with a myriad of comboes intended or discovered mid game. It's been loads of fun for me. Hermit druid? You devil! Jk. No harm done lol. Casual meta is where it's at imo.
December 13, 2016 3:18 p.m.
Seems like a sweet deck. Have you thought about Champion of Stray Souls? I've been using a lot in my teneb deck lately and if you time it right it can be a complete blowout.
December 20, 2016 8:48 p.m.
Thanx for the idea chirz2792! I like the look of him and hadn't thought of him. Comboing the mass sacrifices with Dictate or Gravepact and getting more from it sounds like an awesome mana sink. Not sure what I want to cut for him but surely something. And glad you like the deck. I wanted something atypical and renaimation is one way to abuse ETB effects.
December 20, 2016 8:53 p.m.
As far as cuts go I'd suggest Twisted Abomination(doesn't really do anything unless you just really need the swampcycling), Will-o'-the-Wisp(again doesn't really do anything), or Xathrid Necromancer(by my count you have 6 humans including the necromancer so it seems like he's a little limited in what he can do).
December 20, 2016 9:16 p.m.
Actually the Swamp cycling is tangential; he can be a big, regenerative body I can cheat into a grave without any aid. Will-o is great as 1 to bring back what my friends have named the unkillable sponge. And Xathrid at the minimal replaces himself which isn't amazing but not great either. I can see him being a weaker slot.
December 20, 2016 9:27 p.m.
Then perhaps Boompile? In my experience it's not a very good card because you have to flip a coin.
December 20, 2016 9:36 p.m.
"It is frustrating but it does hit artifacts and enchantments in black which is incredibly rare for the colors and in response to success I have a way to make all my things Indestructible making a mini Avacyn effect. I think if I add more creatures I need to clean out some of their slots first. But i really do appreciate the suggestions chirz2792. I have some illogical at times reasoning for keeping cards(Twisted Abomination was one my brother and I used as kids and loved and well he isn't around now so it has a nice nostalgia element to it when I see the art. I can find something to cut. Eventually. lol.
December 20, 2016 9:59 p.m.
Do you find yourself struggling with mana? Your land count seemed low for such a high curve. I would recommend either lowering your curve or increase ramp and land count. Otherwise, I like the name of your deck haha.
December 21, 2016 1:40 p.m.
Apparently everyone does Enral and I made it on the fly so I might need to do that more. And actually I keep getting mana flooded hence I have cut about 3 lands from earlier forms. My group plays slow to evolving cards and Lili means I always have a turn 3 play if nothing else which means you are fine. I actually get online with this faster than many of the decks I verse. I understand the confusion but something about this deck somehow works consistently.
December 21, 2016 2:33 p.m.
How has Soul of Innistrad been performing for you? I've always found it to be bit underwhelming personally.
December 21, 2016 11:57 p.m.
chirz2792: I wish it had Evasion like Menace or Intimidate instead of Death Touch. It's been helpful in my really grindy games as a way to maintain cards to discard to lili or as a aay to get back 3 cards from the grave either repeatedly or just once when no one expects it. Is it great? Nah but it has a unique niche it fits so I would say a C/B- in quality.
December 22, 2016 12:47 p.m.
Myriad Landscape, Jet Medallion and Temple of the False God could all help you cast your expensive spells a little sooner. I really think they would deserve inclusion.
December 25, 2016 6:25 p.m.
Midnight Banshee seems pretty costly mana wise for what it does. Perhaps it could be a cut? Another card might be Kothophed, Soul Hoarder because his trigger isn't optional, if you don't have a way to sac him instant speed he could potentially kill you(trust me, I speak from experience).
December 25, 2016 6:37 p.m.
I have considered cutting the Banshee tbh but it has done some great work albeit situational. And yes I have lost to Kothophed once before combined with Phyrexian Arena but at the same time he draws me cards and hits hard in the air. Banshee might get the ax sadly.

this is a bit better version tbh
Liliana is built for sac-reanimator, and right now your list looks a little unfocused
I do like your budget right now, but this seems kinda all over the place. Just Letting you know :) no offense meant
January 20, 2017 7:40 p.m.
Gundra_son_of_Gundar care to elaborate on the unfocused? It's basically a value reanimator abusing ETBs. I just realized Panharmonicon, Ashnod's etc are so key to the deck adding an artifact reanimation option might work. I probably need to get a Myr Retriever too but Lili can base resurrect the Scrap Trawler who can help return lost artifacts. I'm experimenting with it and liking that subtheme so likely going to giv it a bit more towards that. It's actually very synergistic so I'd love to hear the parts you feel are disconnected. Lili is pretty much the glue of the deck.

Have you thought about about Balthor the Defiled another mass recursion. I use to run him as a general and it actually worked fairly well.
January 27, 2017 5:25 p.m. Edited.
Well I like lili a lot as various tjings she can do. And Balthor aids the board. Not a big fan of giving em back what I semied them. But interesting suggestion struck21
January 27, 2017 7:17 p.m.
lol @ rich, competitive snobs. So, I noticed Uborg, and have never used it, but I tend to see it paired with Cabal Coffers which would obviously be amazing in your deck. Magus of the Coffers, Crypt Ghast, or even Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx would also provide redundancy or budget alternatives. But, I've never played monoBlack and maybe you don't need any extra mana. If you ever want to pull more out of your graveyard, I think my Graveyard Factory runs at least 18 reanimators. I'm absolutely in love with Living Death.
February 27, 2017 8:28 p.m.
I would love Living Death but my meta is so graveyard heavy that it will never aid me. People have multiple reanimator/self mill decks like Mimeoplasm, The Dwarf, Chainer, Sidisi, Gissa, etc. Otherwise I would go for it. As for the mana doublers: yes, coffers belongs in here but is pricier so will wait(working on other decks more atm). I was trying to fit Ghast in here but could not. I dunno what to cut anymore. As for Nykthos, yeah that should be in here as I am pushing devotion as is. Same readoning as my coffers. I honestly love this deck as it beats the other reanimators(and tons more) as it's a grindier, resilient take on reanimator as opposed to a flashy blowout so it works very well. Thanx for the interest btw and I'll check yours out for sone ideas. Never can have too many of those imo.

If you're doing some reanimation, Entomb, Shallow Grave/Goryo's Vengeance, and Exhume are all excellent. They are pricier like Coffers, but they're worth a spot in the deck imo. Also I'd suggest Dakmor Salvage for a little extra graveyard filler
February 27, 2017 9:26 p.m.
Actually those cost more than I'd like with few exceptions. Entomb is cheaper than I thought so that is enticing but Shallow and Goryo exile the creature(undesirable) while the latter is pricier than I'd even consider. Exhume fails in my meta as there are too many reanimator/grave-centric builds but, yes, it is a definitely a good card. I have Dakmor in my Gitrog build but see no value for it here. I have no way to really abuse it besides discarding via Lili and self-milling might cost me some of my high power enchantments or worse. Why exactly do you think it's a good slot here? It's an allstar in land-abuse decks but this doesn't even pretend to have those themes in it.

This deck sucks but +1 for name.
