Its looking good so far but there are a few left in my list that you should pick out, I can't list them out here for you but they are there. It might be cool to separate them be their effects (Sac, Tap, Tax, Counter, Chaos, etc.) and also make a list of good Stax commanders. Stax is kinda weird in where you cant have every stax effect so people are going to be interested in finding a list of all discard cards for example if they are building a Nath of the Gilt-Leaf deck.

Thank you, Perfect_Phyrexia. I will be sure to get right on that!

I spent loads of time on my primer just pooling all the cards togetherbut I've been wanting to make a section about choosing the right colors and a list of good commanders for stax. Just how to play the colors to your advantage (red for land destruction or black for discard) and how to mitigate each colors weakness with some support.

Perfect_Phyrexia, I would love to see some of the work you have done. That way I can organize the creatures into a good list for stax. I would also be willing to add it to this list's description if you have any technical stuff you would like to showcase.

list cards that are good against stax too since you said you don't like being at the mercy of a No Mercy. Dragonlord Dromoka, Sigarda, Host of Herons, Seedborn Muse, Awakening, Tajuru Preserver, Gaea's Herald, Vexing Shusher, Stony Silence, Sacred Ground, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and more. Stax is an evil strategy so giving people knowledge about outs to stax is important too.

like decks or programming? Its easy to program custom lists by changing the settings from type to custom categories. Adding a # with what you want the list to say (#Draw for example) It is ok not to put the creatures in their own categories because they are usually just like the spells but with a free sacrifice attached.

Perfect_Phyrexia, I will make a separate list for countering Stax affects (unless you would like to. I would provide a link to that deck in the description). This list is just for cards that cause stax.

No, I know how to program in tappedout. I am a computer scientist so I have a little coding under my belt.

If you ever feel like building a anti stax deck then just pick up a sigarda or Gaddock Teeg. Green White was one of my favorite color combos back in the day and it makes stax decks seem very foolish for very low amounts of $$$

If you want to see more stax decks my combo / stax blue deck is pretty cool, and my tiny leaders is a mono white death and taxes deck. They may help too.

Thank you very much, Perfect_Phyrexia. I will be sure to check those out. I personally am not looking to build an anti stax deck at the moment, but I will take those into consideration.

No problem, I wanted to make the primer and gather all those cards together on one page to help the people on the site make things like these. being able to completely learn about stax is important for truly understanding both the ins and outs of the startegy

This is very true. If you have a list of anti-stax cards, I would be willing to make a separate list showing those as well. More than just your average Teeg or Sigarda list though hahaha. I feel like it is very important for people to understand stax affects because you see them in both casual and competitive environments, it is just better known in competitive environments.

Porphyry Nodes is Color shifted Drop of Honey. Leonin Arbiter for search denial. Rest in Peace/Leyline of the Void for GY control. Also what about Collective Restraint? And for stopping storm Ethersworn Canonist and to stop cheating big things into play, Containment Priest.

Hope this helps!

The list is looking great so far. I would add Bloodchief Ascension, Exsanguinate, Rain of Gore, Stigma Lasher, Sulfuric Vortex, Everlasting Torment, Leyline of Punishment, Debt to the Deathless to the burn and drain sections, as well as one of my all time favorites Stuffy Doll. There is also janky stuff like Soul Conduit, Mirror Universe, and Magus of the Mirror. This is just the start to what I would add I just need to collect all my thoughts. I feel like there are a lot of cards that could be added to discard and I'll look those up for you. A section for chaos cards like Planar Chaos, Grip of Chaos, or Confusion in the Ranks might be fun, They are mostly red but there are some in blue too.

So discard is kinda weird because there is a complete difference between targeted discard and mass discard. I would only really run things like Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, Cabal Therapy, Cry of Contrition, Raven's Crime, Mind Twist, Mind Shatter, Hymn to Tourach, or Hypnotic Specter if I was fighting one person as they scale way better this way. However, a multiplayer stax list involving discard should run things like Ravenous Rats, Rotting Rats, Liliana's Specter, Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip, Liliana of the Veil, Mind Slash, Oppression, Necrogen Mists, Bottomless Pit, Words of Waste, Delirium Skeins, Syphon Mind, Mindslicer, Sadistic Hypnotist, Sire Of Insanity, Identity Crisis, Cabal Conditioning, and Myojin of Night's Reach. Lots of good discard generals are Cao Cao, Lord of Wei, Greel, Mind Raker, Nath of the Gilt-Leaf, Crosis, the Purger, and Nicol Bolas.

Persecute has by far my favorite flavor text in the whole game and is great against mono-color decks. Carnival of Souls is funny too.

I would just like take the time to thank xavrr, DERPLINGSUPREME, Coinman1863, Unlife, and Perfect_Phyrexia for taking the time to look at the list and add their own suggestions. Thank you also to anyone who has taken the time to look at my list and make use of it. The time you all have given to this list is very much appreciated.

Really liking this list! Off the top of my head, I would suggest including Archangel of Tithes in the mana tax section. From experience, she tends to contribute quite nicely to the pillowfort machine.

Thank you, Sloanan. I totally forgot about Archangel of Titties. I am on the road now, but will definitely add it when I have some free time. Thanks so much!
