Ohthenoises, Inventor's Fair definitely seems fantastic. It's a tutor for the most relevant card type in commander that doesn't take up a card slot, so it is probably going to be an auto include in many, many decks.

Off the top of my head: Purphoros, Memnarch, Kiki-Jiki, Sharuum, Arcum, Brago, Teferi, Arcum (grabs Helm of Obedience), Sydri, Krenko, Sidisi, Undead Vizier, Kaalia (grabs Steel Hellkiteand Platinum Angel and the deck runs artifact ramp), Daretti... I'm probably missing a lot here.

NarejED, Rashimi's definitely a T2 contender, but I'm actually really interested in Depala, Pilot Exemplar. Seems like there's lots of potential design space for R/W here that isn't just "turn creatures sideways."

Also, what did you think about that bit I tagged you in earlier about Adrianna and Yosei? Never got a contrasting opinion from you, so I wasn't sure if you agreed or not.

Also, does anyone else think Aetherworks Marvel looks really cool as an engine in heavy sacrifice oriented builds?

I highly doubt that Rashmi is going anywhere. She's the definition of inconsistent because of the converted mana cost stipulation and the hitting lands factor.

You may be able to Lantern of Insight or Sensei's Divining Top away those issues away but you've just basically wasted card slots for that purpose and at best they only tell you when your commander is going to be a vanilla creature or not and you still have to rely on those cards as well.

Those are just my thoughts. Seems like there are still better options than her for Simic. I call T3 if not T4.

Oh yay they printed another powerhouse boros commander. Dwarf tribal can now be represented... Seriously WTF. Why not make a good boros commander for once? Just once! Why do they give the shittiest color combo the most useless commanders?

@NewHorizons: Any cards revealed by rashmi that you don't cast go to your hand. If she's not casting spells for free, she's generating card advantage.

@sonnet666: I already gave my opinion on Adriana. She's overcosted, in bad colors, and doesn't contribute to a useful strategy. At the absolute best, she's buffing your creatures by +3/+3, but only during combat, and only if you swing a creature at every opponent. Tier 5 is where she belongs.

As for Yosei: He's a 6-drop, in mono white, that has to die to generate value, that only locks down one opponent, and only for one turn unless looped with an engine. That's a steaming pile of strikes against him.

His interaction with Blade of Selves and a few other cards is indeed pretty cool, but not Tier 3 worthy cool in my opinion.

Aetherworks Marvel seems like fun jank for shirei or endrek sahr.

@Lilbrudder Earlier in the thread Leinahtan did something similar (comment #99) as a FAQ outline, and that could be expanded on to include every tier 1 or 2 general. It's a lot of work, but a quick blurb about all of the top commanders would be quite useful and would save us having to repeat ourselves after every comment reset.

This will break Purphoros, God of the Forge in half. I was actually working on an artifact version of the deck, simply to see if it was better than the one we have listed here as the tier two deck, and I think this artifact will make the deck better than what it actually his, letting us burn everyone twice as fast. 4 damage to everyone for each creature entering the battlefield? Wow, this will be amazing. Totally hyped for Kaladesh right now.

So does this move any decks up a tier?

Based on everything I've heard, HD actually has a slight edge as a finisher for Leovold. Doomsday is a solid route for him as well though.

Honestly even the version of the Hermit Druid combo is kind of meh. Narcomoeba, Fatestitcher, and Dread Return are simply horrible outside a reanimator shell. I feel like the deck would be much improved just going with Memory's Journey and Deep Analysis to make a mini Doomsday pile of Gitaxian Probe, Yawgmoth's Will, and Dark Ritual. Its a little more mana intensive (which doesn't matter when Leo wants to combo off) but it cuts at least 2 dead cards out of the deck.
