So there will be magic, then. Apart from not making the transparent comments background, what would you guyz like to see here? I'm pretty sure I can do pretty much everything, because css really is magic.

For example, I could try adding a symbol after some commander names, and when we hover that symbol with the mouse (or click if on mobile), we get some short description... I mean, I think that would be better than adding an FAQ section for commanders like Scion, Jelava and many others, it would be directly in the decklist.

So how do we feel about Dramatic reversal + Isochron Scepter in Teferi stax and Azami combo lists?

With Azami you require no extra rocks and you net infinite draw with Azami in play with just enough to keep activating the scepter. Also scepter with mana drain and the other counters is also good value if you can't draw the Reversal. Lastly the Reversal is good value on its own. Cheaper Turnabout.

Teferi can make use of it with Chain Veil among other things. Reversal without scepter helps fuel Stasis and scepter on its own is sort of dead but can still be live.

Opinions?

I like it in Azami but I'm not sure about Teferi. In Teferi it feels like its a bit win more.

Currently working on some magic ;) Try hovering Jeleva in the decklist!!! I think it could be something nice to implement no?

Ok NarejED don't know if you are on pc right now (because it won't work for mobile unfortunately...) but if you can see on the side of Jeleva's name there is a red interrogation sign, and if you hover it or Jeleva's name itself, some text will appear under to describe the placement of the commander. Still kinda buggy and ugly for now, but I did it simply to show you what I was talking about in a previous comment. I think this could be implemented to describe the placement of specific commanders we are always asked about, like her and Tazri. If this is something you think could be useful, I will work on making this less buggy and a lot more beautiful ;)

ya Teferi is just so good that there is really no reason to run it. He goes infinite with Chain Veil at 6 mana... so its not like you need help to win. I agree that being able to deal with stax pieces is nice, but he already breaks the symmetry so well with just his -1.

Idk. Test it out!

It works! Currently it just has the default text displayed instead of a blurb about Jeleva though.

So far I like Reversal-Scepter combo in Azami and Oona the best of any decks. For Azami:

  1. Nets infinite creature untaps, drawing library.

  2. Nets infinite Storm Count

  3. Reversal on its own helps a ton at any stage in the game.

  4. Scepter has 16 other (somewhat) relevant targets in Azami.

For Oona:

Same as Azami, except instead of infinite creature untaps being relevant, the potential infinite mana is the core aspect. Any combination of rocks that taps for 2 colorless and one colored or better wins her the game. Also, Scepter has even more relevant non-Reversal targets in Oona, such as Vampiric Tutor and Cabal Ritual.

One thing I've found with Azami is that it infinite draws and then you draw into mox opal and all of a sudden HEY! infinite mana.

NarejED Yeah for now I was using placeholoder text, but I will change it soon to explain why some specific commanders are placed where they currently are. I still need to tweak it though because when I do it so the text breaks into multiple lines, there are spaces between lines that I can't seem to be removing... But at least we are going to have this form of explanation!

What do you think about Reversal-Scepter combo in Sidri storm? As you said it gives you infinite storm count and if you have Aetherflux Reservoir it just wins the game even without Sidri on the field.

i have yet to put it into my list to try it, but i would assume it would do well since i can fetch both pieces, and recur the scepter. also im trying to find room for refurbish, but at 4 mana it is a bit on the expensive side compared to argothian find.

Just realized I've been misspelling Sydri for ages. Whoops.

Lilbrudder says... #14

As long as your Sydri deck has a high concentration of non-land permanents that tap for something beneficial and at least 8 to 10 other good instants 2cc or less to support scepter then yes. The combo is cheap, easy to assemble and very effective. Both parts are useful cards for many decks on their own.

i hate to keep bringing this up, but did anyone ever decide if sydri storm or sydri stax was better. I spent a little bit of time on that list, and i want it to at least be inspected here, if not another sydri storm list so that way we can update the link, or not.

Hotcake_Gotsyrup I have also put together a Sydri storm list. Here it is. I'd be curious to see what you think of it. I kinda threw Doomsday in there as a plan C, but the main win cons are reservoir and tendrils. Feels like it could use some more recursion though.

Hey, long time lurker!

I haven't chimed in before, but I figured I might as well offer you guys the competitive Azami list which I play in real life. I have spent a few years tweaking and tuning it to be straight forward and effective.

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/azami-lady-of-infinite-cards/

If you feel it could be further optimized let me know, I am confident it could be used at the very least as a relevant base, which one might structure and build their own interpretation on Azami according to one's personal meta or preference in combo.

Selvala, Heart of the Wilds combo has emerged as a very solid Tier 2. Soft to disruption but goldfishes t4-5 with the consistency of an elfball shell and a reasonable Yisan backup plan. There are only 1 or 2 tuned lists around at this point with the best I've seen being this one by RedReveng3: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/competitive-selvala-heart-of-the-wilds/

RivenEsq says... #19

RedReveng3's list has been quite intriguing to me. I feel like she has better explosiveness, but poorer consistency and board interaction than Yisan. She isn't quite as "inevitable" while making up for some of that with raw speed. I do think that she should certainly be considered for T2 as she faces the same pitfalls as most of the other T2 decks. She can hang with the top tier, though, which I think puts her soundly above T3.

tw0handt0uch says... #20

Yup, I agree with all of what Riven said . Solid Tier 2.

I was initially pretty skeptical of Selvala as a general, but after chatting with the redrevenge3 about his brew I'm pretty convinced she is something special. Selvala can God hand turn two wins and good hand turn 3 victories. Thats unprecidented for mono green. While she still is inferior to Yisan she's stronger than the rest of the pack by a fair margin. Slivortal you were right. My apologies.

On a somewhat unrelated note what do you all think about Collected Company in a mono green deck that is fairly devoted to creatures 3cc or less (30+)?

I have a strong Azami deck, if you'd like to have my list!

October 6, 2016 11:58 p.m.

I like Collected Company in Aluren/Ezuri, Claw of Progress decks, just nice weenie synergy. I also imagine it works in elf ball.

I'll be right back I have to add this to the 50+ brews I'm totally going to complete one day.

October 7, 2016 12:07 a.m.

just a quick question, why don' all decks run snow lands just to hit on others peoples extraplanar lens. I don't see how it would hurt to switch out normals for snows.

October 8, 2016 1:31 p.m.

Hotcake_Gotsyrup Then a. Extra planar lens decks will use basics. b. The colour has to match c. Snow basics cost more than regular basics.
