I think Saffi's rightfully placed in T3. She's doing a charade of many tier 1/2 strategies but she's not quite there when it comes to any one of them. Boonweaver + one of the artifact outlets is pretty common in Saffi lists. However, she has a hard time getting to her artifact pieces. Boonweaver's also something that's hardly exclusive to her. What really seals the deal for me is the widespread tendency of Saffi to gravitate towards a fairly sizable hatebear strategy. With Gaddock and Sissay being things, it's really hard to justify running her. Saffi's only redeeming quality is that she's a cheap combo piece in the zone. Still, I don't think that's notable enough to justify running her given how easy she is to tutor up. If you want combos involving her, she's good in the 99.

I submit this list as a T3 Heartless Hidetsugu deck. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/hidetsugu-traitor-to-all/

I'd like to suggest my Arcanis the Omnipotent list for consideration for T3. It's a hybrid of the stax oriented T1 Teferi build and the T2 Azami combo strategy. Being mindful of the relatively slow speed of the deck, I crafted a highly reactive and resilient combo build with some hate. It should do pretty well.

So, I had a cute combo idea involving Quirion Sentinel, Cloudstone Curio, Aluren and a second creature cmc3 or less creature. Any thoughts about a good commander deck to put that in and what I could use the infinite mana for? Thrasios immediately comes to mind but I'm not sure what the wincon would be. Could be done similarly with any of the "Makes mana when it ETBs" creatures but Quirion seems like the best option.

roon or rubinia so elvish visionary into lab man with support from e tutor and academy rector combos. Animar is a good choice too probably

Animar already plays both Cloudstone and Quirion. Aluren is usually a nonbo since it helps Animar's opponents more than him 90% of the time, but since you're building for the combo rather than the commander, it's fine. As for the second creature, anything that does something useful on EtB would be ideal. As TheDevicer suggested, a card engine like Visionary or Wall of Blossoms would be good. Though if you're using Animar, anything will work since the combo has the side effect of netting an infinitely large Animar.

Thinking about it, it would also turn into tutoring up anything I want in Momir Vig. It could give any deck running blue and green an instant Labman win.

Won't be the most efficient combo or win condition, but it might be worth playing around with.

Kiyomeii: Not really. That list isn't competitively tuned. Straight from the description: "This is a deck to have fun with." Considering they're running Solemn Simulacrum, Burnished Hart, and Cone of Flame, I don't think that their primary goal is optimizing the deck.

My fiend runs XenaGod. I'll talk about making his list a thing here.

Kiyomei says... #13

Leinahtan i'm sorry if you know another omnath please suggest one, so there is atleast some one's list shown, if not no need for your comment, their primary goal of this deck is to be as competetive as possible and optimizing it, all help towards this is welcome...

if we'de have an example here it would help him/her ... in the meanwhile any help on his/her deck is always welcome...but in the meanwhile i hope they are actually working on it ...

i know most list here are created with cards they actually don't even own ...but i'de like to help them go all the way to have a beter outcome with what his/her commander can do.

The discription is outdated and like most here on the list is what you actually get : no proper information or outdated ;)...

Some >=decent lists for Tier 3 (some are not fully tuned or are kind of old due to the commanders not receiving attention in recent years, but they were the most competitively built lists I found...and I raided Shaper's deck folder after getting bored of sifting through the pretend-competitive players' decklists that litter the Internet):

Omnath, Locus of Rage

Adun Oakenshield

Anafenza the Foremost

Chainer Dementia Master

Daxos of Meletis

Rafiq of the Many

Jhoira of the Ghitu

Karametra, God of Harvests

Surrak Dragonclaw

Ezuri, Claw of Progress

Kiyomeii: Seriously? Oh, I'm sorry. My apologies for desiring some level of quality in this list. I guess I was wrong for not using the list that's designed to be a casual deck, taking the advice of someone who clearly thinks they're better than they really are. You see, one of the biggest points of competitive edh is about optimization. You can see that by the lists that we already have. Basically all of them are competitively optimized. That means no Thermo-Alchemist, no Terramorphic Expanse, and no Urza's Rage. Please take more than a passing glance the next time you submit a deck for a commander.

The point of this list is not to have a list for every commander, no matter the quality. I'm working on a better "discription," with a justification and basic gameplan for every commander in tiers 1, 2, and 3. Finally, people appreciate it when you use proper grammar and spelling in your posts.

My apologies if I came off a bit harsh in this. I'm about halfway done with a better description.

idk, that Omnath list looks very questionable. It has a greedy curve, it's lacking some of the really strong artifact ramp that Omnath would benefit from like Mana Crypt, it's missing some staples like Regal Force and Abundance, it lacks removal other than REB and Pyroblast, and the win condition is just making a bunch of elementals with Omnath and hoping Craterhoof Behemoth sticks, which is...inconsistent. Am I the only one who thought that an optimized Omnath deck would have Kiki-Jiki+Zealous Conscripts/Great Oak Guardian as the primary win condition? Has nobody tried it? Omnath also has a lot of potential for hate pieces - he doesn't rely on artifacts for mana so Null Rod is an option, Root Maze is always good in green decks, and he runs so many lands that he has a sort of natural resistance to Blood Moon (at least more than most multicolor commanders).

Basically I just think that Omnath should be the same general plan as Ruric Thar - play a hate piece for tempo until you draw Tooth and Nail - only with more focus on land ramp than creature ramp and more sac outlets.

I was talking about the list merrowMania posted btw. The other list posted earlier is not worth talking about.

I know this isn't the correct area, but all of you are who I normally talk too about MtG, so here it goes.

I am building my first dedicated 1v1 Competitive deck. If you have experience with the format, the banlist, etc, please message me or post on my wall.

Probably going to build Kaalia of the Vast as I have her built already (for Multiplayer), so I have most of the cards I should need. Also the tournament is in about two weeks, so I feel it is best to have to buy as few cards as possible.

Gates88 - Agreed. Personally, I think a hybrid of Azusa and Ruric Thar would make a decent Omnath deck. Unfortunately, I suck at deck-building (from relative scratch). But when it comes to tweaking, I know my nipples (heh, I made a funny). I'll copy the deck and tune it up. See you all in a few hours :P

I also agree with Gates88 on that Omnath list. The first thing I noticed was lack of Mana Crypt; second thing I noticed was the 3.89 average cmc. Very few instants to boot. I honestly doubt that person even owns the list, probably just theorycrafted it, putting in all the cards they know to be good based on the price like Gaea's Cradle and Taiga, and maybe plays it on cockatrice against 7-drop tribal decks. Very few instants, very few ways to do anything if there's a Zur or Tazri player setting up. I hope the harshness of my criticism isn't too overdone. But anyway, I'm going to give a hard no on that list until I see more interactive things like Nature's Claim, Mana Crypt, Trinisphere, Blood Moon, Ruination, From the Ashes, etc.

I took a stab at it too. Mine kind of looks like this Angry Omnath Brew. No idea if it's good or on the right track.

This is my decklist that I think should become our tier 3 Teysa, Orzhov Scion list: Teysa's Darkest Hour. I think it could also spark some discussion of moving her to tier 2 possibly. If you want to make some suggestions to make it better, also feel free.
