I don't understand how sliver queen places higher than sliver tutor constantly

Sliver Queen is not a Sliver deck. It is a 5-color combo deck that can utilize Sliver Queen to make infinite tokens with something as simple a Mana Echoes. Sliver Overlord is too slow to do well in a competitive environment.

We should make an FAQ and add Sliver Queen combo to it.

Massive post concerning Grand Arbiter Augustin IV below. Tagging deadmanwaltzing and BigLupu as you guys are the only Arbiter players I'm both aware of and respect enough to listen. I'd love for this list to be longer. Feel free to add anyone knowledgeable to the discussion if you can.

I don't have an extensive knowledge of GAAIV, but I would like to point out that Helm does not combo with Grafdigger's Cage.

I'm aware. I'm talking about Grafdigger's Cage in relation to the Rest in Peace+Helm of Obedience combo not because I'm suggesting the cage as a replacement but to say that the cage does a lot of what RIP does while also being far more accessible. It makes sense to include both in the 99 just because of how good yard hate can be.

While i no longer have a deck to present and it wasnt cedh material anyways, i would still like to question the tier 3 status of Kruphix, god of horizons. Is he not tier 2.5 due to missing red or black, so missing key tutors or the power red has to offer? or is it due to his casting cost vs abilities he grants? or maybe his typing of enchantment? i have a feeling its a combo of all of these plus the fact that he isnt online until the devotion is up, but i would still greatly appreciate an answer since ive heard people (not on this site) say he should be demoted to tier 4

TheDevicer: I'm guessing this is a typo but ponder has no combo potential, do you mean brainstorm or impulse? As for paradox engine combos the best one imo for a general that is not an infinite outlet is Paradox Engine+Voltaic Key+Sensei's Divining Top since all have some utility on thier own and will draw your deck for a mere 2 mana worth of rocks and win through Humility and Rest in Peace. Also baby jace and jace's archivist make for fine outlets for paradox engine or dramatic scepter.

Straight up lumped all cantrips into one category in my mind and thought of them as one card. Should be brainstorm + Impulse + something else probably over Preordain and Ponder. The deck should probably run Peek/Opt if scepter is a thing it wants to do just to increase the chances of drawing into them. Those aren't cards you want to seek out.

I've never even thought about Voltaic Key with the Engine. That's actually great and further cements the engine as a viable combo. Not sure about Archivist because of humility, but it's a great option. Played around with Jace. Hated him as he clashed with humility and didn't actually do enough most if the time.

That mizzix deck is trash and needs to be changed. It runs chromatic lantern while missing key cards like timetwister, possibly candelabra and volcanic island, like come on..

So I just realized one can do some pretty degenerate things with Ramos and Copy Artifact style effects. Has anyone been trying to brew him?

Storm seems vasty more appropriate than HD/Nooze for this general imo.

I can see an ant/anfishbowl storm working. I was trying to think of a wincon that doesnt rely on commander/doesnt need it

I guess my initial prediction about Ramos was wrong. He has a lot more potential than for which I gave him credit :P

I love how Manamorphose makes 6 mana (eventually)! It's even more efficient than Cabal Ritual AND draws a card!

Ramos also says "once each turn" so you may do it on opponents turns. If you can find a way to abuse that, you should be golden. Unfortunately it still means its commander centric

Storm doesnt usually rely upon its commander but having synergy with a commander is definitely key, because otherwise Zur or Thras or Tazri are just strictly better. The artifact copiers are good because they can be used to copy rocks. Another cool option is flash hulk as we can birthing pod ravos into hulk. I dont know though. 5 colors offers limitless possibilities

Ill concede the effectiveness of both the options you listed but i still wanna see if nooze is a contender for backup since nooze can copy ramos' abilityIll throw together a backbone of a storm list or nooze list as i think it might be faster than hulk

So, question, what about Scion to pay 2 and make him a copy of Ramos and then having Nooze in play as well? Seems pretty decent to me.

so we are all in agreement that ramos and taigam are the only relevant ones so far, anyone got a cool taigam list worth sharing, he has to be (atleast) tier 2.5 just because of his synergy with tutors right?the madman doesnt even have to connect for the rebound, and just having him on board gives you a significant advantage against other control deck (with them not being able to counter your DRAGONS, and all)
on another note, me and my friend were wondering is stuck in tier 4 with trash pandas like tsabo, when ishai is in t3. is that just because of partner versatility? i would consider him pub stompy to a degree, and while he is less powerful than most t3 comms, he is superior to a lot of t4 comms

oh something i forgot, did anyone ever playtest to see if sydri storm is as/more viable than her stax variant? i've had some pretty consistent gameplay with my budget version of my storm list, but haven't played extensively with a stax list in real games (just 1 or 2)
