HarroHunter - Grimlock will be a transform card (there is a symbol at the upper left indicating as such).
I guess I was suffering from confirmation bias... I still think that, based on the banner, the fourth tribe will be clerics.

If you are looking for a Johnny, Combo Player list I think that mine is ok, despite the fact that it has no primer yet. Here is a link to the decklist:http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/johnny-combo-player-edh-1/

This is a hascon "we own dnd, transformers, and nerf" the first one doesn't prove anything

Ohthenoises We know, I was simply making a joke because the first card could easily fit in the Dragon Tribal deck. It is almost a legit card lol.

I'm disappointed it's not 5c, 3c, 2c, 1c. :/
Makes my OCD unhappy. (They just did 4c so that's excused)

Well, somebody in a playgroup would have been unhappy to get the 1C deck. It's also difficult to find a 1C tribe that's not Elves or Goblins. I agree though, it makes me just a little angry.

As an Azami player I am all too hyped for Grixis wizards.

Which deck should I build, of the two: Vorel of the Hull Clade or Xenagos, God of Revels? Multiplayer meta is pretty controlly.

What do people think of this deck: Keranos Blood Moon. Cameron played it on a few Lab Maniacs videos, seems good.

It always played well, and could keep up with many different decks. Now that I look, Keranos is in Tier 4. Given how the deck plays, it may need to be moved up to at least Tier 3, maybe higher. However, most of the pods I saw it in had another Stax or Control deck, which may have slowed the game down enough for Keranos to keep up. Regardless, it is definitely worth considering.

Where is Nicol Bolas on the list? I cant seem to find him anywhere, maybe im just blind. Does anyone have a competitive list for him? I noticed his ability just says damage, not combat damage, so i was wondering if he could get at least a tier 3 placement due to that. Hes in red so "this creature deals damage to each player" kind of effects shouldnt be hard to find, and blue/black have a lot of draw/discard effects which can help draw a player out (not the most effective win, but one that seems interesting nontheless, especially with a tap->damage effect and untap effects)

n0bunga duh, ty, forgot about ctrl + f XD
Anyone think it might be possible to move him up to 2.5? im thinking maybe not, but its worth a shot to try. Only thing i really hate is the "pay grixis or sacrifice" clause, thatll hurt play a lot

Athraithe - I would think not. As an 8 mana non-green commander, he is too slow. The only >=T2.5 non-green commander that costs more than 6 is Razaketh, but he can win the game as soon as you drop him.

Dredge4life I think Ohthenoises meant 5 color, 4 color, etc. rather than 5cmc, 4cmc. I could be wrong.

To be fair Grixis Storm can be led by any Grixis Commander 95% of the time. If you want a Competitive Nicol Bolas deck, then just use him instead of Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge. You might lose a couple of games you might not have running Jeleva, but it should run the same the vast majority of the time.

iAzire whats the point of using bolas then? the deck isnt benefited by him so it isnt optimized. I was talking about an actual competitive deck for nicol bolas
August 3, 2017 12:49 a.m.
My point was, Jeleva isn't even that good. The deck uses Jeleva because she just fits the strategy best, she is the best of the garbage so to speak.
Again, the deck plays itself without Commander in most of its games.
For Bolas himself, I like a damage all theme, as well as Voltron. Buff spells and unblockable make him terrifying. You aren't casting him till late game so you will need a good ramp package.

Scyxx No I meant color, and Dredge4life understood. He was talking about 2 one color tribes in elves and goblins.
August 3, 2017 2:04 a.m.
Ohthenoises Oh, then I just disagree. druids, spiders, centaurs. clerics, humans, angels. merfolk, serpents. barbarians. demons, zombies, rats. There are plenty of interesting mono-colored tribes that aren't elves/goblins!

round 2 with taigam: rocky azorius horror picture show
through my testing it seems less consistent than my pure HT version: The tides crash twice
took the advice and applied an extra turn focus... it went nowhere. Adding it to high tide shell for a win shell... slows down the HT plan. I'm curious for suggestions and tweaks to make to the decks. After all, pod testing>goldfishing

Is Grimlock a flip card? He should be.
