I see Sliver Queen is on the Same Tier 2 as Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. But I want to know how good O-Kagachi, Vengeful Kami could be as a Planeswalker Commander. I don't want to ditch the 5 color scheme, so Atraxa is out. So is Sliver Queen still a good choice for Superfriends as a commander? I actually like to see a higher tier 5 color commander that's good for Superfriends. I mean, How good of a Planeswalker Commander is O-Kagachi? I want to know because there are so many options, but The Ur-Dragon is useless in this case... I wonder how long it'll be until Urza becomes a planeswalker of all colors, and can count as a commander...

BTW, excellent list! I think I now know what my Tier 1 Commander should be... (Whistles, and fails at it. :P)

I retract my last statement about Unesh. Ran into another situation when trying to build something competitive where I kept wondering why am I trying to run this sphinx and not some better mono blue storm card. Unesh is fun but I agree with it's placement in tier 4 now. I'm sure a higher tier deck could be built with Unesh as the commander, but pretty sure it wouldn't have anything to do with him/her/it.

That's fairly typical

So... what's the highest tier Superfriends Commander that's 5 colors? So far that seems to be Sliver Queen... REALLY don't want to do Atraxa...

Superfriends is not even close to fast enough for cedh. And not many need 5 colors as none of the lists here are superfriends builds. As for your question, O-kaga might work in some areas for you. Otherwise atraxa or fewer colors.

I see. Well, some of the better commanders in relevance in Superfriends lack cards in their identity that are amazing regardless; and that includes stuff with Red, and another color in its color identity, but I guess you have a good point. Why can't we have a commander that rivals Atraxa as the quintessential Superfriemds commander and is all five colors? With that said, I'm working on a Jeleva deck after how many times, I don't know...

You seem to have missed the part where it was said that superfriends is not nearly a viable archetype in cEDH.

If you want casual superfriends I'd point you to Cromat as a commander because it does a little bit of everything and it runs great interference as a blocker, given that first ability.

Again, don't expect to be winning any games against the likes of Tazri, Jeleva, Yidris, etc. superfriends is a slow plodding archetype that doesn't do well in a format of turn 3-6 wins through disruption.

I thought Alara Baby was the de facto casual 5-color superfriends commander.

Already working on Jeleva as we speak. & I do agree, Superfriends are uber-weak, and the best don't even go as far as Tier 3. This is why I'm making a Jeleva deck running no other creatures in exchange for stuff like Proteus Staff, Mass Instant & Sorcery support, and it seems like the best bet I have to make a Tier 1 General that will probably be downgraded to Tier 2 at worst.

BTW: I started my Commander career with a Superfriends Deck. Now that I KNOW my ideas for competitive gameplay is limited, I'll see what stuff I can scrounge up...

We should probably get back on topic; I like the overall list, & I can't wait for some really good generals in both Ixalan, & CMDR 2017.

yidris is a good superfriends commander, if only because he offers his own effect and the ability to run doubling season. you can still run a storm package too.

I said we should end the discussion on "competitive" Superfriends decks for now. I already made my choice for my pick for a Tier 1 General, and I fear she might get downgraded soon... I would run a Storm Package for Jeleva, but I just want to 'yard as many Instants & Sorceries as one of the deck's strategies (Runechanter's Pike seems good as a Commander Damage substrategy.). That and Jeleva works as a commander that can be casted from the hand over & over, just to cast better stuff than what your typical opponent can only dream of casting so early. That, & I'm trying to incorporate Omniscience in the Early game. But so far, I have only one source to rely on that...

Now, let's resume talking about other commanders that might need an update; Command Zone stated even Boros (Yes. THAT Boros.) as of the podcast called "BReaking Boros" basically gave the worst color combo ways how it can be used to take out at least Tier 2 Commanders. I suggest you guys look it up when you have a chance. Unfortunately, my Akiri deck is only subpar, but I guess it could be better than Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded as a Planeswalker? Please stop commenting on me though. I'm still working on the deck as we speak...

Later.

I have watched that, and while i like listening to the command zone, they are casual. By no means do any of their suggestions give a boros deck legs to catch a tier 2 deck. If you want a cedh channel, try labratory maniacs. I don't think you have actually looked at the example decks and realize how good they are. The commander is only a part of its ranking in the tiers, it is the specific deck around that commander. @BMHKain

Question for someone with more experience than me. Why is Dragonlord Dromoka in tier 4? seems like it would be an ok stax/prison commander. Is it due to being gw/6cmc? i figured the uncounterable and last ability would give it at least SOME power in ced

Hey guys, I did a major overhaul on EzurggroTech.

thegigibeast, sonnet666, or anyone who is interested in seeing a streamlined Ezuri, Claw of Progress deck.

I just changed out another 20-25 cards. This deck has been starting to get a lot more attention from people.

It made "#16 on 2017-08-01" and has seen well over a three thousand views at this point.

Most of that is recent.

I would still love to see it linked here, If anyone knows what else I could do to either improve the deck or get it voted to put as an example deck, I would love to hear what you have to say. Thanks for your time everyone!

Hey everyone,

In case you guys haven't noticed, I haven't been too active on here recently. I had a bunch of projects lined up for this list, but unfortunately I had to drop a lot of my plans here because my father died suddenly 3 weeks ago. I've been really busy since then, and even though modding this list is fun for me and a good way to decompress, I didn't think it was the right activity for me to spend time on for a while.

Anyway, I'm back, and I'm going to get back into the updates and additions I was planning over the next couple of weeks. Obviously I've missed a whole bunch of discussion, so I'll probably take a day or two to read over what you guys were talking about while I was gone.

@Viperfang4: Even if Command Zone had a legit Deck Building Template vid? They actually do so In case you're wondering. If they are casual, this is only due to not making a Deck Doctor episode in ages. If even that's casual to you guys, I dunno how good Laboratory Maniacs really are... Never even heard of them either...

@nobunga: I suppose I should know where to start with that channel? GameKnights is fun as heck, but, yeah. I do see you guy's points. So, given I haven't watched much of the YouTube Accounts of this accord, aside from TCC, where do I start with Laboratory Maniacs? Tickle me interested as I'm a noob on this regard. Also, I have Lifelinker as the app for life count, but I haven't found my iPad since. Really need the other pics... Not sure if there were any updates since...

BMHKain here is the first episode of season 2 of the Lab Maniacs games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-6cGHiArIo

It should give you a good idea of what we mean. If you watch the entire season, you will understand how competitive these decks are.

@viperfang4: Huh, so the season 2 opener is the start? I'm busy with other things, but I guess I could subscribe to them on YouTube, and follow on Twitter for now. That said, let's just focus on the tier list for now. I've caused a tidal wave of a problem here to begin with. Don't worry. I'll watch it at some point or another...

Over & Out.

I wouldn't suggest starting with season 2. Perhaps starting halfway thru season 1. For some reason during season 2 they no longer edit the videos to include lists of what cards are in players hands and they no longer show what card is being played in the center of the screen.

And again cause it hasn't been fixed:Sapling of Colfenor by PGleo86: Danksdaynow no longer links to a deck piloted by Sapling
