Thanks Athraithe! I'm glad you liked the deck. I'd say a closer comparison is with something like black Sidisi, which is currently up at 1.5. Although I feel we have some significant advantages in godo over that deck as well. Mostly though it's going to take some time after the Dom release for godo-helm to see more play, and get more data on exactly where it fits into the top of the format. Thanks again :)

Is now a good time to begin prelim discussions of the new generals?
Though due to the nature of this having 44 it would seem to benefit from only discussing those you believe are above Tier 5 correct?

DruneGrey id say above tier 3, we dont need to really discuss tier 4 that much

Here is a minimally edited copy of my post from a while ago:
Lyra Dawnbringer - T5. Just an efficient creature. Angel tribal does nothing.
Naru Meha, Master Wizard - T2. Good in a High Tide shell like JVP, but also with a simple combo with Ghostly Flicker.
Demonlord Belzenlok - T4. Efficient beater that draws 1-2 cards in a good color.
Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar - T4. Seems like a decent STAX commander.
Naban, Dean of Iteration - T4. Seems like a decent enough value commander in a good color.
Evra, Halcyon Witness - T4. Requires removal. Good with Aetherflux.
Josu Vess, Lich Knight - T5.
Verix Bladewing - T5.
Marwyn, the Nurturer - T3. Taps for big mana. Probably a decent Elfball commander.
Shalai, Voice of Plenty - T3. Protects creature combos and is an infinite mana outlet.
Zahid, Djinn of the Lamp - T5.
Kazarov, Sengir Pureblood - T5. Can disrupt creature shenanigans, but is very slow.
Squee, the Immortal - T4. No Food Chain, so settle for Skullclamp.
Grunn, the Lonely King - T5.
Teshar, Ancestor’s Apostle - T3-4. Bomberman Combo + Scarecrone/Brass Secretary/Selfless Cathar/Ticking Gnomes.
Slinn Voda, the Rising Deep - T5.
Valduk, Keeper of the Flame - T4. Cute with Skullclamp and/or Possessed Portal.
Baird, Steward of Argive - T5.
Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive - T4-5. There is probably something cool I am missing.
Torgaar, Famine Incarnate - T4. I want to say T5, but the effect might qualify it for T4. It also acts as a one-time sac outlet in the command zone.
Danitha Capashen, Paragon - T5.
Urgoros, the Empty One - T4-5. I want to say T5, but the "at random" may qualify it for T4.
Kwende, Pride of Femeref - T5.
Whisper, Blood Liturgist - T3-4. Relatively cheap reanimation makes for a decent commander.
Yargle, Glutton of Urborg - T1. By far the best Legend to come out of Dominaria and will easily be brewed for ages to come.
Darigaaz Reincarnated - T3-4. Decent beater in good colors. Also an okay Food Chain commander since it "stores" 8 mana.
Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain - T2. Tentative starting point for the powerful artifact storm commander. Comparing most closely to Nin, the Pain Artist.
Muldrotha, the Gravetide - T2-2.5. Three best colors combined with an efficient value engine. Works very well with Command Beacon. Comparing mostly to Damia and Rashmi. Very likely to rise.
Aryel, Knight of Windgrace - T4. Makes tokens and is (slow) removal.
Jodah, Archmage Eternal - T2.5. Can cheat in a lot of cool stuff.
Firesong and Sunspeaker - T4. Cool with damage based board wipes and Aetherflux.
Grand Warlord Radha - T3. Free mana is free.
Adeliz, the Cinder Wind - T4. Wizard storm?
Arvad the Cursed - T5.
Garna, the Bloodflame - T3. A better No Rest for the Wicked with a haste anthem is playable. It turns Entomb into an Eladamri's Call. Good in a shell with Paradox Engine and a sac outlet.
Hallar, the Firefletcher - T5.
Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage - T4. Can have Shimmer Zur lines with Aetherflux.
Rona, Disciple of Gix - T4. Card advantage exists.
Shanna, Sisay’s Legacy - T5.
Slimefoot, the Stowaway - T3. Comparable to Ishkanah, Grafwidow. Likely to rise since it only needs infinite colorless rather than infinite black.
Tatyova, Benthic Druid - T2.5-3. Good colors and abilities.
Tiana, Ship's Caretaker - T4. Helps recover from Bane of Progress, but EOT restriction kills most combo potential...and as I was writing that: Possessed Portal + Sigarda's Aid + 0-drop equipment.
Traxos, Scourge of Kroog - T5.
Niambi, Faithful Healer - T5.
Hope this helps!

I think Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage would be more of a tier 3 or 2 as a bomberman control shell

coolish card for tetsuko Raven Guild Master this card seems like a good way to counter several decks that are combo oriented around a single/couple cards the issue with tets is that she wants you to run on hit utility creatures, but she has no way to tutor for them easily. without the edric effect built in you have to rely on tutoring Bident of Thassa to get similar card advantage. i think that she could have a goodish gameplan against top decks, but wouldnt have the tools to actually close out a game. gameplan = run the couple cheap dudes with ingest Rootwater Thief and raven or other ways of deleting cards in deck to try to hit peoples combo pieces. like against if you can hit him twice you can exile riftsweeper and dakmoor or kozilek and gaeas. exiling food chains and such. i think low 3 high 4 is ideal placement.

Slimefoot, the Stowaway - T3 for me, has several infinite I win combos and is in decent colors for Ramp and Tutor so maybe 2.5?
Muldrotha, the Gravetide - T2 is how I lean on this one, great color profile, a little expensive but I think it could work really well in a Stax control deck. I do personally think this will end up being the strongest of the new legends.
Jodah, Archmage Eternal - T3 solidly in my opinion. He helps you cheat in big stompy stuff in whatever color, but first you have to cast him, then have him survive a turn cycle then have WUBRG. Think this should be looked as a ramp deck, in that you have a two fail states. Big stuff but no ramp/fixing or ramp/fixing but no big stuff. I think he could dominate casual tables due to the power of his threats, but not quite consistent enough for prime time.

I think gtoast99 has a great list for Godo, Bandit Warlord. The combo is incredibly easy and rather fast to assemble and is consistent as long as there isn't something like Torpor Orb or Hushwing Gryff interrupting the ETB trigger. With the new addition of Helm of the Host, the deck is incredibly powerful, but it is hard to say where the deck should sit in the tier list. I fully endorse Waiting for Godo - cEDH primer as the face of the deck in a higher tier standing because it certainly should not remain in tier 4 once Dominaria releases. With that being said, it's too early to claim that Godo is tier 1 as well as tier 1.5. But I think Godo can definitely move up to the tier 2 or 2.5 position until the deck settles into a point where we can say for certain. I doubt you're going to see Godo everywhere, at least not for a while because the combo is so new.

I theory-crafted a deck for Rona, Disciple of Gix. It's a stax/combo build, and I think the potential for Rona can exceed a Tier 4 as merrowMania had suggested. Here's the link:
A Historically Competitive Disciple
Open to ideas on improving this list (and possibly the name, too).

ShikiTen is into something here, I didn't even notice she did that with led. You can use her to ramp to deadeye then use led to make some infinite mana. Then loop her with an etb artifact or The Mirari Conjecture to win on the spot through pings a la triskelion or deck exile with Reality Shift she may take some theory crafting, but she may be easily 2.5

I would say Godo is Tier 2 at least for sure. Its incredibly powerful and fast averaging a turn 3 win.
Heres my list.

Imo, out of the new legends Muldrotha, the Gravetide and Tatyova, Benthic Druid are the best. Here are my lists Muldrotha Stax Tatyova Land-Storm

With the new Helm of the Host, Godo, Bandit Warlord is now at least tier 1.5. The deck is as fast and consistent as Sidisi Ad Naus, with an ability to run gamebreaking stax (Blood Moons, Stranglehold, Possibility Storm) as well as anti-blue tech and an ability to repeatedly recover from a failed combo in a way that Sidisi never could. It is better than Sidisi in the current meta. Never worry about ramp into nothing. Waiting for Godo - cEDH primer is the Primer.

Currently working on a Teshar Bomberman list for tier 3/4. This is my first real dip into making a CEDH deck, so I'd appreciate some assistance. All That Glitters is Old. Thanks, and sorry if the deck is bad.

Raphstow: The plan was to skip Dominaria and then just move onto the next set.

Soo what are yalls thoughts on adding a new layer to cEDH, as a format, in the form of sideboards?
In most places Ive played cEDH, where it was being run as an official tournament, they were never set up to have a game two.
So with that in mind, how about a sideboard that you can edit from pregame based only on opponents commander choices.
Standard 10 card sideboard.
Thoughts? Does this make hate pieces too strong?
On the positive side it may promote more varied builds among existing commanders to throw people off a bit.
Could also let you change up your win con if you know your against a straight up counter to your deck.
Honestly its a big enough change that it would probably effect the tier list even. Just curious to what yall think.

There is an optional sideboard rule but everyone must agree. I think it's an interesting idea both for multiple games and for cards like the wish cycle.

I meant for non multiple game matches.
Like game one but you only know what commanders youre up against.

Part of what I love about Commander is that there are no sideboards. You pick your best 99 cards no matter what the situation. Sometimes that means you run into tough match-ups, but this is balanced by the multiplayer nature of the format. Personally, I would hate it.

Thats exactly what Im proposing, but I dont see anyone playing that way currently.

Are there multi-round Commander tournaments at GPs? Seems hard to enforce swapping cards last minute in side events. Seems like unless you're registering a deck list you can always get away with that.

I'd like to submit my Ayli Storm deck for consideration as replacement for the current Ayli deck. I'd also like to suggest it be considered for a bump on the list.
The deck is based on other black-based Ad Nauseam Storm decks and has been tested an optimized accordingly for the last couple of months. I've taken into consideration the comments and suggestions made by the community, including moderators from the deck.
