As somebody who plays a more relaxed Trostani casual deck, I agree that she can be played/built well. But her only relevant ability comes from populating; the lifegain is negligible.
When you boil it down - it's possible to make a horde of Vryn Wingmare via Seance / lock out all noncreature spells via Archon of Valor's Reach . Despite this, her ability to be relevant is vastly overshadowed by Rhys the Redeemed who is more cost efficient and effective at achieving the same goals.

Can someone explain the practical difference between "Maximum Power" and "Competitive" decks? As I understand it, max power decks seem to represent most of the meta, but I can't see much of a difference in power level between some of the "competitive" commandersand those that are placed in max power. Curious about the reasoning, and of course keeping in mind there's a large element of subjectivity going into this.

Here's a fun list I've been a it with Circu, Dimir Lobotomist. Extremely brutal at times, I've even exiled everyone's deck on Turn 3 with it. It functions as a fateseal control deck utilizing elements to restrict opponents' draws on top of capitalizing on Circu's abilities. I am by no means an expert in competitive EDH, but any deck advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not looking for a tier bump or anything but I appreciate how critical everyone here is. With that being said; I see a lot of talk about Naru Meha and I just wanted to share my list if this sparks any new opinons: Flying Raijin 99%
I think one of the lab men helped me with my deck when it was at the $200 budget level. I had upgraded it since then to something more reactive and faster.

Hissp I just learned of this deck and yes it seems solid and the deck that I'm trying to build runs a lot of the same cards. this might even be a better list so far then my list. altho I would switch out a few cards to be more redundant.
n0bunga I know you have seen my list what you think?

Bazzul can you convert your Demonlord Belzenlok deck to tappedout?
Love the deck idea!!
Is there any reason not to run all the man-lands (so you can block 1/1s) as well as utility cards such as Massacre and Shriekmaw (which are in your Maybeboard) as well as Contagion , Nemesis Trap , Outbreak , Ravenous Trap , Price of Fame , Damnation , Bane of the Living , Haunted Cadaver , or Boompile ?

Bazzul if it were a tappedout list you could get a lot more tech from likeminded people like Hissp with the spiciest suggestions you've ever seen.

Thank you CyborgAeon and Hissp for the ideas. I added the list to tappedout, and added your suggestions to the maybeboard. Regarding the cards, I wanted to keep the spell count as low as possible because casting Demonlord Belzenlok can hurt quite a bit, in my opinion only the basic cards are there. A concen I have is that the only way to get rid of hate cards is Nevinyrral's Disk , probably adding a similar card is necessary. That being said, I haven't play tested the deck extensively, there must be a sweetspot of the number of non-land cards the deck can run before becoming too hard to combo off. Maybe lifegain cards can offset the problem?
Here is the tappedout-decklist:
One card combo Demonlord Belzenlok

Well... It's been a while since I was here. I know I made some big mistakes in this community before; but... What I didn't want to fail on is making a legitimate cEDH deck. I'm not mentioning any names though; but I do want to know how cEDH works as a whole; unless I'm not allowed to do even that. All I know so far is that unless it's Machinegun Damage to zip, Damage doesn't matter; & stuff like Laboratory Maniac (Or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries if that can even be cEDH material; which as a Walker, probably will do nothing in T2 wins.) for Wincons.
But I'd like to be educated on whatever info is needed on how such games, the decks, etc.; though I know I'll have a Budget issue anyway; can't avoid that.
I'd like some thoughts before going at this for the first time, for real this time. I'll work on such a deck after that at some point... (Still have to work on my over 100 Superfriends after the fact...) Anyone willing to educate; even if it means a URL link? You know I want to be a part of this as well you know. I apologize in advance if this post breaks the rules for this metalist of CMDRS. X/
Also, I think I might have gotten some things wrong about even the first group of text. If so, please correct me about all of that; & even more in addition. I am a newcomer to cEDH as a whole; like I still said so long ago...

This is a good place to start; https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveEDH/
Look around and post any specific questions you have in the Mentor monday thread. You’ll get structured high-quality feedback in a more accessible format that if we all were to clog up this list.

I would like to make a motion to put this list up for Circu temporarily while a primer is underway.

Hello, has someone a viable decklist for Ramos? Sadly there isn't one linked yet. Thank you. :)

BMHKain we all make mistakes. I did 2, but to get you started, why not go with a budget list and work your way up t full list? Some primers have budget options. Do research on why they did that budget cut. read primers on how they win Join the Cedh Reddit and discord a lot of helpful people on there.

I've been looking into Prime Speaker Vannifar for a bit, she's underrated imo, but here's a good deck list with an extremely thorough primer: http://https://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/commander-edh/multiplayer-commander-decklists/803528-prime-speaker-vannifar-the-birthing-pod-commander#Deck

What's the consensus on Niv Mizzet's tier placement? Is he better/same/worse than Tazri?

What is it that makes Yisan, the Wanderer Bard tier one? I've never played with or against him. On the flipside what is keeping Selvala, Heart of the Wilds from being tier one? She's (or he) is a ridiculously fast, resilient and consistent deck with the ability to go off turn three pretty consistently. When I ran her she was a beast. Sorry I don't currently have a list to share.

WAR Update
This is our update for War of the Spark. Please note that these placements are preliminary and will be subject to change over time. Please continue commenting and giving us feedback as you play with these cards so we can re-evaluate their position on the list for future updates.
God-Eternal Oketra - Mid Power
Oketra is good at creating a board full of creatures if she survives a turn cycle, but no combos have been found that are strong enough to push her into High Power.
God-Eternal Kefnet - Competitive
Kefnet is a combo piece and a value engine in one that also comes with a big body to block Tymna. Has a 1.5-card combo with Scroll Rack and extra turn effects.
God-Eternal Bontu - Mid Power
Bontu doesn't create card advantage unless you really build around it - think Gravecrawler, Bitterblossom, etc., no combos have been found that are strong enough to push it into High Power.
Ilharg, the Raze-Boar - Mid Power
Strong, unique effect in the Command Zone, but only having Red and colourless is a bit limiting in terms of big creatures.
God-Eternal Rhonas - Mid Power
Can be an Elfball finisher in the Command Zone, but compares unfavourably to Ezuri, Renegade Leader in that regard.
Fblthp, the Lost - High Power
Has competitive potential as a combo with Proteus Staff, but the combo is expensive and his shuffle effect makes it very fragile.
Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin - Mid Power
A different way to build Mono-R Goblins, looks less combo-centric than the Krenko, Mob Boss.
Tomik, Distinguished Advokist - Mid Power
Great at hosing Crucible/Wasteland type decks and it's a cheap creature.
Massacre Girl - Mid Power
Can create some crazy removal chains, but it's probably not going to be too consistent most of the time. There's also no clear path to victory that benefits from having access to her effect in the Command Zone.
Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion - High Power
Really powerful card selection and mana engine, but non-commander centric Mono-R combos aren't quite consistent enough for Comp.
Mowu, Loyal Companion - Mid Power
Having Trample and Vigilance plus an ability that lets it grow more might make Mowu a workable Voltron commander.
Niv-Mizzet Reborn - Maximum Power
It's Food Chain Tazri with higher potential for better outlet printings in the future. While the commander is new, the deck itself has proven its viability over a long stretch of time, so Maximum Power is appropriate here. Niv also has utility advantages over Tazri and is able to deterministically win through an opposing Aven Mindcensor. One of the two may be moved down if the other emerges as the better choice.
Roalesk, Apex Hybrid - Mid Power
This has some potential when using Clone effects as single-use sac outlets to get the double proliferate effect. Still a bit clunky all in all, but an interesting option for a UG counters + clones strategy.
Feather, the Redeemed - High Power
It's cool to see a sort of card advantage engine in Boros.
Storrev, Devkarin Lich - Mid Power
Could work well for a BG Superfriends list, but falls a short when compared to Meren otherwise.
Tolsimir, Friend to Wolves - Mid Power
Tolsimir mixes a lot of things at once, which runs the risk of creating an unfocused deck.
Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker - Competitive -> High Power
Xantcha, Sleeper Agent - High Power -> Competitive
Sai, Master Thopterist - Mid Power -> High Power
Godo, Bandit Warlord - High Power -> Competitive
Vela, the Night-Clad - Casual -> Mid Power
Prime Speaker Vannifar - High Power -> Competitive
Niv-Mizzet, Parun - High Power -> Competitive
Added 4C Rashmi - Curious Control, Ramos Engine Thief, and Opus Thief to their respective Competitive deck tabs. Sample lists for the remaining new competitive Commanders will be added in the next update.
Why is Anafenza still in Mid Power?
While an Anafenza deck can be built to compete in High Power games, this Abzan hatebears shell works better with Tymna the Weaver + Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa. While Anafenza is a hate piece against Hulk decks, Reanimator strategies, and Gitrog, she doesn't do enough to stop these decks from setting up for their win conditions. Having a strong draw engine in the Command Zone makes it easier to both stop other decks and get closer to your own win condition. Losing out on Tymna in the command zone is not worth the effect Anafenza provides.
This is all for now. We'll be back with another update soon!

I Thinks that Trostani Selesnya's voice is viable to move up to high power, while not competitive or maximum power, It is a powerful card as the tremendous life gain component when combined with token doublers and aetherflux reservoir can be powerful. THe only downfall is lack of
