I noticed that there was no deck list for Prime Speaker Vannifar . If you need a list, I’ve been doing some research with my build Vannifar cEDH and currently it’s been winning about 80% of the games it plays against tier 1-2 decks.

goconnor, do you have any data for this?
I haven't mentioned this yet but I've been doing some tests with different Vannifar decks, and I'm trying to figure out which is the best combo line. I plan on posting the results here when I've completed the analysis.
If you have been recording your games, this could help.

Cymorg, I pretty recently started collecting very detailed data, but I can post it once I get a considerable amount, if you don’t want detail, I can just tell you that I currently have a 22-8 win to loss ratio (currently on a 7 win streak mostly against one of my friends who has a nearly optimized Teferi, Temporal Archmage deck).

Cymorg if you're looking for the optimal vannifar list/lines, I'd recommend checking out https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/vannifar-evolution-101-competitive/#c3485341. Though I'm no Vannifar aficionado, these guys have it down. They've put in many hours of testing.
With that in mind, goconnor for your data to be most helpful, could you also add to your notes what you were up against? You mention an almost optimized teferi deck, so I'd assume it's just missing like 'nacle and transmute / something similar, but if those decks are all 'almost optimized' in that they're restrained by budget considerations or pet-cards etc. then please keep in mind that will have some sway in your data and the way that it's viewed.

So what's the decklist that made Niv-Mizzet, Parun competitive? I'd really love to see it.

If you do not mind me asking, I've seen that Niv-Mizzet Reborn has gotten a lot of fanfare here as the replacement for General Tazri , but when I took a look at the primer (and I realize that it is still early in testing), it looks like Niv as a backup plan only actually grabs 1 piece of the combo engine consistently, and the vast majority of his decklist cannot leverage the draw power attached to the commander.
I realize in cEDH, the commander is often the backup plan, but this seems important to note, in addition to his much more temperamental casting cost over Tazri, thoughts?

Niv-Mizzet Reborn isn't a backup plan. It's an outlet for the infinite mana generated by Food Chain .

The update is several posts up, from Sigi. Perhaps they forgot to add it to the description?

I'm getting a little itch to play a control deck. I'm leaning Azorius, either Geist of Saint Traft , or Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper , the latter of which doesn't seem to have a win angle other than grinding out the table and praying? Any thoughts on those two?
My third option is maybe Tatyova, Benthic Druid , who seems a bit more versatile by having green, but I'm still leaning Azorius.
Anyone have experience with the abovementioned generals?

Why did we remove Scion Druid Win for
Scion of the Ur-Dragon
?
As time goes on I feel that
Hermit Druid
is less and less competitive, but I believe it is still the optimal way to play Scion.

If you care more about color combination, I'd suggest you play Grand Arbiter Augustin IV or Brago, King Eternal instead of any of those. Of course, the choice depends on your meta so it's hard to make calls without that, but generally I think that both of these would hold their ground better than the 3 you mentioned.
As for what would be the best of your picks, again, this depends a lot on your meta. But generally, I'm a fan of Tatyova, Benthic Druid here. Green offers more for control game plan than white does and Tatyova itself makes a good use out of green's ramp spells. Locally, creature-heavy staxy meta that doesn't care much about graveyards, we have a Tatyova turns deck that does strangely well considering that she's usually the lowest ranked deck at the table by this list. There are always bigger threats than her to worry about, she dodges most of our stax relatively easily and she can get out of control quite easily. I'm more than a bit biased here and she works in my specific meta that might be quite different from yours, but I've seen Tatyova do stuff that make competitive decks scared. Stuff that I don't really think either Geist or Noyan can pull.

There was some talk before about having monthy updates. Is that still happening? Or have they happened and they're just buried in the comments?

thegigibeast, the owner of this page, has been absent due to personal issues, so we haven't been able to issue updates via the update function. Our WAR update was given in a comment 8 days ago on May 6.

Would love to contribute some info. Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper got an upgrade from War of the Spark that is helping to mitigate some of the issues I have run into in Tomik, Distinguished Advokist . I have the highest rated Noyan Dar deck on Tapped Out. Here is the link The Sea is Woke - Noyan Dar Control for reference. I would say that it is still a High Power deck but is still a ways from Competitive. I love this post and have read through and learned a lot. Thanks for keeping up with this.

@the_unseen89, I like the idea behind the deck - azorius beats via lands. Though if you're looking to recommend this as a cEDH deck, I'd definitely recommend some more optimization, locks & combos to close out the game.
If the best win you have available is as you say - via a 10/10 inkmoth beats then you may want to look at refining the strategy. Some notable cards you could include: Reset , Call to Glory , Energy Arc , To Arms! ; these would allow you to effectively Time Walk your opponents, provided enough of your lands are animated.
With the aim to win/create a lock/use enough disruption by turn four, you definitely could look at Stasis , I'd recommend that in a cEDH environment you look into Mystic Remora and many other format staples. In the description this list features many links to cEDH decks - by viewing these and the descriptions/primers for cEDH decks you'll likely be able to get a stronger understanding as to the differences in play-style and why your deck would likely not be considered "high-power"

Does anyone have a good
Godo, Bandit Warlord
decklist that might change my opinion on the commander? I don't feel like the deck is any good, sorry if that sounds harsh, but let me try to explain how I see it.
Your Commander is a 1 card combo (by using the etb effect to tutor for
Helm of the Host
), normally that would be great, you could either:
1. Fill your deck with ramp and try to get consistent turn 3 wins
2. or you could make a slow stax/control deck that is free to go for the win whenever it so chooses
Option 2 is not available to you because your playing Mono-Red (I'm just saying it like it is).
Therefore you have to just go straight for the combo, the problem is, at it doesn't matter how much ramp is in your deck, your too slow.
To top it off your gameplan is very telegraphed, at any point a player can just look at your boardstate and say with reasonable confidence whether or not you are going to go for your combo on your next turn.
Additionally, when you finally ramp up to cast your commander, if an opponent has interaction (which they will, they've had all game to prepare), your only option is to send Godo back to the command zone and get back to ramping, however, your playing mono-red so your going to have to do it in top-deck mode.
Finally, the combo isn't even that good when you get it, plenty of stax pieces stop it, (
Blind Obedience
,
Frozen AEther
,
Kismet
,
Torpor Orb
,
Humility
,
Hushwing Gryff
etc.), and it's folds to Counterspells, Artifact hate, and Creature hate, which is the vast majority of interaction people will be playing (it does ignore graveyard hate which is something I guess.)
Sorry for the wall of text, but I realized if I just said "the combo is too expensive" and left it at that there would be a lot of unnecessary back and forth arguing.
TL;DR:
Godo, Bandit Warlord
is, in my opinion, slower, more predictable, and more easily disrupted than all the other fast combo decks in the format by a wide margin, for this reason, in my opinion,
Godo, Bandit Warlord
should be brought into the "High Power" tier.
