MrGuizee666, I'm pretty sure this list is still getting updated, although they don't have access to the update function. Give the owners of the list some time to think about the new commanders that M20 just give us.

So I know Marwyn, the Nurturer has been discussed before, but I feel like my deck is actually good enough to be in Tier 2 with Selvala, Heart of the Wilds . While Marwyn doesn't have the built in draw outlet Selvala provides, she is less mana intensive and I have found my deck to be more consistent and fast. I would like to get some other opinions though, so please tell me what you think. Thank you!

I wanted to make a case for Ezuri, Renegade Leader as a Competitive commander. I've piloted this deck for the past couple of years and it generates infinite mana pretty easily through different lines. Using his overrun ability it can win games as early as turn 3 or 4. I am part of a league where I have used this deck to consistently with great results and definitely believe it deserves the bump. Here is my current list! Ezuri, Renegade Leader (Competitive)

This is just a pile of commanders. I sincerely doubt that this list is anything close to accurate as I can't imagine the original poster has any real relevant statistics to base his "feelings" of power level off of.

This "Pile of commanders" is managed by 3 people, one of which is responsible for a ton of extremely solid and powerful decklists.

scrible101 Funny stuff right there, unfortunately it is a very naive statement.

I'm assuming Urza will be bumped down now with the Paradox Engine ban, or is there another list I'm not aware of?
July 22, 2019 4:21 p.m.
IronBlackZepp says... #10
The Paradox Engine ban Doesn't hurt Urza too badly. The deck really never needed it in the first place, it was merely a nice synergy piece, that sometimes happened to win games. However, it was never truly reliable due to the possibility of it fizzling. Arcum is the one who got the real hose; as well as Azami, who will now become less consistent.

M20 Update
This is our update for Core 2020. Please note that these placements are preliminary and will be subject to change over time. Please continue commenting and giving us feedback as you play with these cards so we can re-evaluate their position on the list for future updates.
Sephara, Sky's Blade - Mid Power
Sephara is a solid build-around commander for a deck full of flying creatures, but only having access to White is holding her back. Her alternative cost also scales with Commander Tax, so she's not going to remain easy to cast once she's been removed multiple times.
Atemsis, All-Seeing - Mid Power
There are better options for Mono Blue infinite mana strategies, and building with the damage ability in mind will lower the deck's overall card quality. 3UUU is also very expensive for a Commander.
Vilis, Broker of Blood - Mid Power
While Vilis is a great option for a value reanimation target in reanimator strategies, he's less good when you have to pay 8 mana to play him from the Command Zone.
Drakuseth, Maw of Flames - Casual
While Drakuseth's ability would be good at controlling the board during the earlier turns of the game, 7 mana is just way too much for something that can't kill bigger creatures by itself.
Gargos, Vicious Watcher - Mid Power
Gargos is great for Hydra tribal - the cost reduction is big, the board control is nice to have, and 6 mana isn't too hard to ramp into in Green. Unfortunately, Hydra tribal is also the only spot where it makes sense to play Gargos.
Kaalia, Zenith Seeker - High Power
Kaalia can function as an outlet for Worldgorger Dragon by digging through your deck with her ETB effect while repeatedly reanimating Worldgorger Dragon. Her ETB can also help find Worldgorger Dragon. Unfortunately, her colours could be a bit better for a Reanimation strategy, as both Green and Blue can provide a lot of benefits there.
Kethis, the Hidden Hand - Mid Power
The most optimised build we've seen for Kethis is one that utilises Hermit Druid to get access to the whole deck from the graveyard. However, there are plenty of more efficient Hermit Druid strategies and better colour combinations for Hermit Druid out there, which makes Kethis a questionable choice for competitive games. Furthermore, he does not fill a unique niche in the same way a Commander like Anafenza does. While Kethis is a great Commander for a Legend theme deck, those tend to cap out around Mid Power as tuning for a disproportionally high number of legends will lead to a lower overall card quality.
Kykar, Wind's Fury - Competitive
Kykar is a great mana engine while also having a 1-card win with Divergent Transformations into Magus of the Future + Trinket Mage for Sensei's Divining Top with Kykar on the field.
Omnath, Locus of the Roil - High Power
Omnath is notably a Temur Food Chain outlet that matches or exceeds Maelstrom Wanderer. However, his value case puts him in a fairly narrow box, being forced into Elemental tribal if you want to maximize his ping, and his draw case requires the game to have gone extremely late. He would be Mid Power if not for the combo potential of his ETB damage.
Yarok, the Desecrated - Competitive
Yarok is a combo machine. Between Aluren, Intruder Alarm, and Cloudstone Curio, and various ways of abusing Land ETBs, he has a ton of potential. The main concern is his high upfront mana cost.
Rienne, Angel of Rebirth - Mid Power
Rienne could be a good build-around for a resilient multicolour creature theme deck, but the value she provides is very slow unless you have a lot of mana.
Golos, Tireless Pilgrim - Competitive
Golos is a good generic 5C infinite mana outlet. He's more slot efficient than most other 5C infinite mana Commanders, but he does get hit by both Cursed Totem and Null Rod. The heavy colour requirements coupled with a weakness to both of these types of hate have historically been a concern with commanders like Breya. However, adding Green does help with both of these issues thanks to cards like Birds of Paradise and stronger removal options for those hate pieces.
Whisper, Blood Liturgist - Mid Power
Jodah, Archmage Eternal - Competitive -> High Power
Arcum Dagsson - Competitive -> High Power
Captain Sisay - Maximum Power -> High Power
What's the deal with Urza?
While Paradox Engine was useful in Urza as the piece you tutor for when all you have is one artifact tutor and it provided some additional ways of performing the Scepter combo, the ban hasn't taken away any of the things that make Urza strong. Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter has always been Plan A, and manually going off with Paradox Engine is not something Urza has ever done well, so losing that line does not hurt the deck in a significant way. It still has higher card quality than any other Mono U deck while also having a Commander that's both an infinite mana outlet and a strong mana engine that can be deployed early in the game.
Post Paradox Engine Watchlist:
Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain
Xantcha, Sleeper Agent
Sidisi, Undead Vizier
This is all for now. We'll be back soon with another update.

So Kykar is listed as competitive...yet The Locust God sits at High power. Can we have an explanation on that one?

How come Yisan, the Wanderer Bard sits in maximum power while Prime Speaker Vannifar is "only" competetiv? While her cmc is 1 higher, she has access to one more color.

Hey I wanted to make an argument for Ezuri, Renegade Leader to be moved to Competitive. It's fast deck that combos out pretty early with over 65 infinite mana combos. Would love to hear some feedback!

A few housekeeping items and suggestions:
1) Remove Iona, Shield of Emeria b/c banned (Mid Power tier).
2) Update the decklist database link to the new website.
Since the decklist database got a upgrade I propose moving 2 commanders on its Fringe tab ( Anafenza, the Foremost and Edgar Markov ) from Mid Power to High Power.

I can't find a bruse tarl/thrasios deck on the list so I'd like to present mine. I think it's powerful enough to at least make the "competitive" section, maybe even maximum power but I'll leave that up to you.

I believe that Marwyin should be in the same rank as the jungle with the ECHR. The combo list up to as fast as the wild one, it should be moved to the competitive list.

Sram should easily be tier 2
How are all three Omnath in the same tier??? Locus of Mana is easily tier 2, if not higher, while Locus of the Roil is tier 4 at best.

Chain Veil Teferi is not a dead deck, and I see no problem with 2 mono blue decks in the same tier if they are both along the same lines of power, especially if they are 2 totally different builds.

Urza and Chain Veil Teferi are probably the only two mono blue decks that are anywhere near competitive at this point.

So do you think K'rrick, Son of Yawgmoth - Doomsday will be competetive? And Anje Falkenrath - Worldgorger? I think that they are at least promising.

This commander deck is fucking absolute GARBAGE! First off Proginitus isn't a very good commander. He's 5 color you will never play him. Secondly its just all legendary creatures. Terrible, Terrible this commander deck is. Worst Proginitus edh deck ever.
MrGuizee666 says... #1
This list is no longer updated? M20 is already out and bring some new cool commanders that may be competitive and Sisay is still T1 despite that lame ban
